KD so ok if someone was an alcoholic or an addict and they sobered up and changed their ways they can be forgiven. If someone has cheated they can be forgiven , if there was a gang member that did alot of messed up shit and turned his life around for the better than they are forgiven. But no a Nazi can't be saved or forgiven even if they changed their ways. Yes I do not take kindly to racists at all but hypothetically if this were to end up as something special why dump on it? It's not unknown for neo Nazis to turn their life around and start dating people of different color. we all make mistakes in life hunny.

You can literally see the tug of war between the reality of being a racist and being attracted to the very person he's supposed to hate. The symbolism is ripe in this clip. The closed eyes behind him while he's waiting for the train, the possible glimpse of his future with the old couple behind them, the young lady's perfume dripping in him representing her essence and the way he inhaled it on his fingertips. Maybe it's for the best. He couldn't get out of his prejudice for a few seconds to say a simple hello to her.

Such symbolism in the opening shot. In the background as he's waiting for the train station, there's a painting of closed eyes behind him, representing his close-mindedness, and the fact that he's living with his eyes closed. Not able to see the beauty, intelligence, and compassion in other cultures and races (and possibly ethnic group -- we did see him sporting a swastika tattoo) because he's "closed his eyes" to anything, or anyone, but those of his own race. And then the sight of the train passing by, oh, so quickly could parallel to the racing of his thoughts at seeing this attractive woman who represents everything his group/current mindset is against. The shot over to the old married couple is a nice juxtaposition to their seating arrangement, and how they could've been like the old married couple in a couple of decades had his prejudice not gotten in the way. (This coulda been us, but you playin' lmao) The reveal of the swastika was poignant, too, him looking out the window to catch more glimpses of her. I think the message of this short film is to rid yourself, and actively unlearn harmful/racist/prejudicial things that society/family/friends have taught you. Overcome this, and many more opportunities will become apparent to you. In this way, and to harken back to the opening shot, your eyes will be "opened". Poignant film. Too bad for him he missed out on a wonderful woman, due to his racism and oppression/oppressive mindset. #RacistsAlwaysLose

+Modus Pwnens The “Gammadion” “Hakenkreuz” or a “Fylfot,” (sanskrit origin) which was considered a symbol of good fortune, is now referred to as the swastika due to the appropriation of the symbol by the Nazis. I know the history of the swastika and know what it used to symbolize in Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Odinism, but that is not how it is referred to or revered as now in present-day times. There is a reason many people of those religions no longer use the symbol. Its a sad thing to have a symbol that used to represent so much positivity be turned into a symbol of genocide and hate, but its past use in the 1930s and its significance cannot be ignored. Not many people would know the alternate named I gave it in the start of my comment, so thats why I referred to it as a swastika.

Honestly, I was already a little wary of this film when I saw the guy. There's just something about a bald white man that makes me uneasy (not all the time, but most definitely in this occasion). Despite my uneasiness, I thought the film was just going to be about two timid people of opposite races who had a missed encounter. When he turned around to reveal the Swastika tattoo, I was shocked and it validated my uneasiness about a bald white man XD. This message and cinematography are so powerful. Bravo to the director, the actors and all the other people who contributed to it's production.

I felt he had a mental civil battle going on between hate and love, repulsive and attractive, dislike and like, but who won. This is very powerful! Yeah, bro. She's strikingly, hauntingly beautiful. She is the presence, a New World, her form, her mystery, her past, her present: she's like no one you have ever encountered, and no one encounter will be her ever again. Her scent, her essence is upon you, like the dew of the carnal embrace. A couple nearby slumbers in tender, mutual moment, riding together in their long journey into their night, that forever night, but in the well-worn comfort of two lives lived entwined until the late night arrival ,far and away from any here and now. All the signs were there, bruh, all points of escape, flight, freedom. You might want to reconsider your mark, bruh. It's not a tattoo of belief. @@monicacarson4306 Fair dos, but I don't agree lol. Watching this again after 4 years, it doesn't seem obvious he's smitten..maybe curious, intrigued for a "snack" at most. When he looked at her after her soft glances, he didn't really smile and sort of looked serious. 10 years after the upload, in this day and age if anyone tries the "method" he demonstrated...well good luck to them 😂

It's amazing how a very short, mute movie can make you rethink about what's really going on in this world. It's very sad, and how it took a moment to get to the end to make you really understand what's going on really, is very clever. Hat's off to you, sir.

Glad to have found this video again. When I first saw it I had no idea the real point of the film. I was caught up in the romance and let down when they didn't go with their feelings (I just have to have a happy ending). :) But when he looked back at her, I didn't see that "image" coming. The message of the film was even better than I thought. Somebody has rethought (b/c he looked!) their "philosophy".

WOW. Powerful. Both actors were brilliant in their portrayal of various emotions via facial focusing, mannerisms and esp. their subtle thoughts portrayed from their eyes. Just to name a few ... curiosity, intrigue, hesitation, etc... what I term that moment when you sit on the fence and wonder to yourself 'should I approach or not?' .. then the swastika is revealed to us and in a nutshell, his ideology is on display. Truly a powerful statement. It's hard to understand that sometimes we are more alike than not. On a personal note, one of my best friends (a beautiful women of color) married a former clan member. At the time we thought she had gone cray cray! They have been married for 17 years now with 3 beautiful kids. He walked away from his entire family, lifestyle to be with her. Since then he has also had the hateful message which had been tattooed on his body replaced (as best he could) with other imagery. So as the saying goes 'love truly can concur all' .. it really does happen.
