Where are the Stevie Nicks' today? Talented songwriter and the coolest voice.
@SvetaChristine

The reason for that is probably the time we live in today. Stevie Nicks embodies the 70s rock. Her image and stage persona were very natural, which was the beauty standard back then, I feel. I mean I didn't live in the 70s, but most of the pictures/footage I've seen of actresses, singers, models, etc. of that era showed the natural beauty of these women, and even at their most casual moments, they were beautiful and just like... Chill. Stevie's whole stage presence was always pure and honest emotion, and raw and unique because of that voice of hers. Singers, or entertainers these days aren't like her because they are just of a different era. They are doing what they think it will sell. Stevie's image sort of caught on very well in the 70s but there was nothing manufactured about it... Sorry this got so long, you just got me to thinking lol

risumotus she is totally original & authentic. All who have attempted to imitate her fail. She has an aura and presence on stage that is far beyond singing. She captivates. I believe these traits are why she continues to draw new younger fans and holds all her surviving base fans .

As tiring it may be to have yet another interviewer bring up the drugs aspect - I can't help but think how it's often said a true artist must suffer for their art. I think it's even more incredible how someone can go to that dark place in their life, still produce some incredible music while dealing with the onslaught of drugs...and somehow emerge from the end of the tunnel intact. It just makes Stevie even more endearing and special, a true treasure. Through the decades I've never grown tired of listening to her smoky, melodic voice. She's lived a fascinating life and I'm thankful she's still with us today.

But that is her strength... that's the well from which she draws her incredible artistry. Her music wouldn't have had the depth and multi-layered meaning if she were a bubble gum personality. And.. There's being alone but not lonely or forsaken.. there's hurt.. but not incapacitated and crippled. She still creates. Even during her most recent tour and such, she has commented she enjoys being the solitude and such. You need that to rejuvenate and replenish. And Stevie is NOT the kind of person to be a wretched soul...she has friends and confidants and collaborators.

She is still, a very poetic writer, and her vocals,are awesome! Go your own way! Is playing as I write this!

Lindsey and Stevie in early years, she would clean one of producers house. Well he went away and that car of theirs broke down. So she took his Corvette which was standard, left it in neutral on . Well it rolled down the hill and landed in top of this guys house in the bedroom. Wow the guy came to their house Do you guys own a corvette lol . Only rock stars ⭐️

What an incredible artist and woman. I have never really listened to her before, I mean I've heard some Fleetwood Mac songs sure but never really known of them or her. Might get some hate for this but the only reason I found her now is because of Harry Styles. Watched him induct her into Rock and Roll hall of fame on Friday and wow! Its amazing how a new generation of artists and their love and admiration for the legends that came before can inspire and allow a new generation of fans discover music that we might never listen to otherwise. So thank you Stevie for "adopting" your love child Harry and allowing me to discover your wonderful catalogue.

She probably still would have ended up with a great band or a great solo career . Lindsey wasn't very nice to her... he would put her down and tell her her music wasn't good and try to rewrite it and he was very controlling towards her . You can hear about it and a very good audiobook here that is 7 hours long on KZbin . It cuts off abruptly though and I couldn't find any more of it . Just look for Gold Dust Woman audiobook

gardensofthegods - Well it wasn’t Lindsey during the screwing around.. they’ve changed their timeline as Stevie & Mick’s affair was before she broke up with LB.. there was an ole interview on here when she was really young talking about how they had to sneak around behind his back & Mick insisting he had to tell Lindsey.. that interview has since been taken down.. I used to be a huge Stevie fan so yeah.. maybe he was angry after insisting his gf is with him & he’s repaid by getting cheated on.. I sure the hell would be!!

Class. When I was 11 back in 1975 the single Landslide hit and I fell in love with Fleetwood Mac. Well rumours in junior high was cool, lol. Talk about kicking their high healed platform boots through the glass ceiling of rock in roll with absolute class. Stevie Nick's and Christine McVie in 75 and 77 with charting song after charting song in one of the biggest rock n roll bands of the time. And Lindsay Buckingham is not a joke either. 3 singer song writers that change the sound of the band with song after song after song. Amazing band. Legend. I remember. I saw Fleetwood Mac twice and Stevie solo 3 times. Class. Great rock n roll. Of coarse I'm an old fart. Fleetwood Mac is a piece of how I lived through my hellish beginnings on this earth. Soul and class all the way. Stevie Nick's is like an adolescent angel of mine. Mick Fleetwood is not a stupid man.
