I’ve watched a lot of Stevie videos recently and I keep seeing this narrative in the comment sections that she “got around” and is essentially “easy.” It makes me sick to my stomach that a talented female lyricist and singer can’t exist without being scrutinized for their sexuality. Let’s do better.

Ok I see alot of comments blasting Stevie Nicks, but why don't you look up why Don Henley wrote "Dirty Laundry" well from my understanding, he got caught with some 14 year old girl in his hotel room years ago. Hmm? can we say today that would be considered a Pedophile? At least she isn't naked on stage like these singers are today. She chose not to have a family and wanted to be independent..what is so wrong with that. Girls today are taught to get married early, have babies, and do nothing.
@Libertyjack19 жыл бұрын
+Stephanie Crawford That's a very misinformed perspective. The more that you go back in time, the more that women were expected to be virginal brides and child bearers. There was a sexual revolution in the '60-70's, which did much to change this attitude, and was pioneered by many in the musical-artistic community, even well before Ms. Nicks. It came at a cost, however, that being the disintegration of family cohesion and loyalty amongst loved ones. As family pressure (coercion) ceased to be the influencing factor guiding young people's (especially women)decisions on marriage and kids, they became ever increasingly (continuing today) influenced by celebrities and acquaintances, who are not always the best role models to have. Then again, sometimes, neither are mom and dad.

Stevie is being kind and not telling her true feelings about Henley. Henley was an epic womanizer and treated Stevie just like every other celebrity female he was cozy with. She wasn’t special to him, as much as she was a conquest for him. In fact, Stevie ended her relationship with Henley after finding him in bed with another woman (Cher’s sister model Georganne Lapiere). Stevie wrote a song about Henley soon after called “Smile at You.” Stevie is a romantic and she tends to “sugarcoat” her failed relationships as a way of coping with the heart break.

Didn't know about the baby having some kind of health issue,but I heard her say in an interview that she just couldn't be pregnant and keep up the pace of the band,if she did because it has down syndrome then I think that's crappy
@hhijklmjoe15 жыл бұрын
sorry, but It's not bullshit, it was in the book about the Eagles that came out about 10 years ago, and Stevie Knicks and Don Henley have both acknowledged it in interviews. There is even a verbatim quote from Henley himself in that book, not the recent one by Don Felder, but the one written back in 1999 or 2000.

She killed his baby and your thought is "how damaging it could have been to her carreer - the fact that he told about it"??? Wonder how damaging it is to his heart...still... BTW - I'm not excusing him for bashing, I'm only commenting that , to me, the priorities in that post are askewed...

Are you serious? She wanted to KEEP the baby and he didn't want it, and then, to add insult to injury, he dumped her afterwards!!

Think Tom Petty and Mick Fleetwood also hit it. Madonna snd Stevie have a lot in common as far as love lives go... I always eye rolled when Stevie looked sad & longingly at Lindsey Buckingham while singing Silver Springs... I'd be thinking 'yeah, you sacked up with dudes from three different bands and you're upset about something long ago with LB? Right... 😆

She a hoe, I mean did everybody hit? Jackson B, Loggins, Petty? We know Walsh, Henley, Mick, all did. Lindsey was like a hubby from the early days, but did John Mc hit it too?? She was wild. Jimmy I. supposedly hit it too!

She is a witch in denial!! She doesn't have the guts to come clean of that fact. Her song, Sisters of the Moon, Her label A Welsh Witch Music Production, the song Riannon. I saw the Tusk Tour in 1979 and when the spotlight hit her sheer black dress you could see all of her. I was 16 yrs old with a Woody that night!!!

I can't resist either, 'I' is the first-person singular nominative case personal pronoun in Modern English. It is used to refer to one's self and is ALWAYS capitalized. In addition, all sentences begin with a capital letter. People in glass houses etc...:)

👍 ppl like so many with nothing but slander must forget ppl who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. My ex husband has to be one of the worst judgemental ppl I've ever known. We could say, meet a new couple out to dinner or wherever, conversate with them. He would be all friendly, we all part ways & he has a grocery list of "flaws" . Well in his opinion they were. I used to tell him you know there's good in everybody if you just take the time to find the good in them you'll find it sometimes it shows right away and sometimes it just takes people opening up to you, etc. Point is he had a very troubled childhood and he definitely has self-esteem issues along with being physically abusive to people but that's normally the people that white to slander and point out other people's flaws out !! It's got to be because it makes them feel better about themselves but happiness comes from within it's just a sad Society. Ppl do what makes you happy as long as no one is getting negatively affected or hurt, go on, live your life. We only get one ride on this planet 💯✔ When i was pre-teen my shyness started getting the best of me, others picked on me & made stories to fit their reason for bullying me. I came home crying for the umpteenth time explaining my day/week to my Daddy. He cupped his hands around my lil freckle face cheeks & told me, " what others think of you is none of your business!" I remember thinking. .hmmmm, but the more I thought about it, the more that saying made huge sense I still to this day keep that fore front & it's helped me smile and walk away so many times. Thank you to the best man that walked thru 52 years with me! RIP 2-8-16
