When shall we love? And he never doubted me No, how he did trust Now maybe someday because of me He'll learn not to trust so much When he does love again It can't be me again And now you are here Blue eyes, your smile and your golden ring A portrait I painted in fear Shining like a light made out of crystal When shall we love? Tonight, tonight? When shall we love? Shine on like a light When shall we love? Oh, my, there are no words. I'd never heard this before tonight...that ethereal voice is incomparable. Why was this gem never recorded on a Fleetwood Mac or solo album? This is absolutely one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. That songwriting is like no other. When I hear her music and the lyrics that always tell a story, I'm just mesmerized...literally hypnotized...it's so poignant...so very sad to see Stevie with Lindsay as it was obvious she was deeply in love with him. Thank you for sharing.

It's hard for me to judge the quality of this song, although a lot of people seem to love it. The performance is pretty dull, though. I realize this is just an informal, lo-fi recording made in the basement when she was quite young, but I do not really hear that Stevie Nicks magic here, even in nascent form. To me, she seems to have needed Lindsey's arrangements to take her songs to the next level. I do not at all mean this as a cut. They were a fantastic partnership. Neither could have been as good as they were if they had not had each other. Anyway, thank you for posting this interesting recording here.
