Stella Desarzana unfortunately, he died in a helicopter crash in the early 90's. A true tragedy. He'd recently gotten his life back together after fighting drug and alcohol addiction.

This was literally only 4 days before his Austin City Limits performance where he played this song and that lightning fast super aggressive solo, compared to this one which is smoother. Softer tone.
