SRV’s bass player is Tommy Shannon, who played with Johnny Winter back in the (real) day - if you love SRV you’ll love Johnny Winter, Johnny Winter and Jimi Hendrix and most especially Albert King is where SRV comes from. But you have to know the right Johnny Winter/Tommy Shannon to react to - ask me, I was there. (and of course, they all come from Eric Clapton - if you knew the right Clapton to react to, your lives would change).

Clean and sober!!! He came back stronger and more badass than ever!!! Then, heaven took him away from us.. 💔 So thankful for recordings.. saw him live at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta with his brother Jimmy’s band opening the show and of course coming back out and jamming with him during his set!!! It was incredible!!!! 🎸🎶🎸

You have to try Tin Pan Alley, live at Montreux, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Johnny Copeland, its right up there with Texas Flood, Voodoo Chile. Slow Blues at its absolute best

Have you guys checked the 17 minute sound check he did? Just woke up, still yawning, comes in wearing a full length leopard coat and cowboy boots and proceeded to bang it out. His sound check is better than most people's performances.

I love that folks are being exposed to SRV through this medium. He is a once in a lifetime musician. One of his major influences was Jimi Hendrix. Not sure if you guys have done any Hendrix or not but you do a great job. I appreciate it.
