My all time favorite Stevie tune! You'd think the song would be called ALWAYS because he never says AS. Hmm... These lyrics are complex and jam packed. Try reading the lyrics on paper and get tongue-tied very quickly. Can you think of a more uplifting musical artist than Stevie Wonder? He is one of the true geniuses on earth's plane.

I'd go as far as to say that this may be the greatest song of all time. The level of love that he is expressing seems incomprehensible and that's what he tries to elude to with the lyrics of impossible comparisons. It's as if he goes beyond the human perspective of love and into a spiritual point of view.

We sometimes forget that Stevie Wonder was, is and will always be the BEST songwriter of our generation. But please.....next time, let the song finish. It's that long for a reason. That's how he wanted it to fade; he did that many times, especially on that album: repeat a motif until it got hypnotic. Respect his work enough to hear all of it from beginning to end.

This is a wonderfully life affirming song (Stevie had a knack for that) from a wonderfully life affirming album. It leaves you speechless and with that smile plastered on your face at the same time. Then when he kicks with that gospel voice, to quote another song from the album-'Knocks me off my feet'. Oh, that song you were humming at the beginning is 'Master Blaster' (Jammin), his homage to Bob Marley. Great, great suggestion.

Your fav song you mentioned is Master Blaster, from the album, Hotter Than July, which is the one that came out about 4 yrs after this one, Songs in the Key of Life. Master Blaster was one of Stevie’s nods to Reggae music. Others would be, Boogie On Raggae Woman, from the album before this one, Fullfillingnes’ First Finale’, & Try Jah Love, which was recorded by the Raggae group, Third World. This song, As, also feature jazz legend, Herbie Hancock on Fender Rhodes electric piano, who is still burnin today. Keep in mind, it’s always cool to have a favorite song of a certain artist, but Stevie’s catalogue is so extraordinary & extensive. That said, Songs in the Key Of Life is considered Epic among them all, for its magnitude of work, & depth.
