I was so lucky to be there when he was recording this! I have never been so close to the music before.

Stevie is a living legend, somebody who was having hits 50 years ago, and somebody everybody wants to see play live.

My mother and her best friend took me to the Montreal Forum to see him when I was 10 or so, around 1975, my first big show, I remember parts of it vividly, his incredible band had a superb horn section like I have rarely heard since and, remains one of my all-time favorite musical moments.
@versatilejams3 жыл бұрын
Stevie rarely performs this song all the way through with that "gruff" sound he does at the end of the album version of this track. Similar to how he rarely sings that bridge on "As" - he usually lets Keith John or someone else sing it. To hear him do the whole track live - and re-record it for the occasion - was flipping awesome.

@@louisnaghten7415 Fun Day is vastly underrated. Sounds a little campy on first listen, but the vocals and harmonica… it’s brilliant.

I am almost 50 and this song is as old as I am. I have 4 nieces who are either black, biracial or Latina. Plus my own son who's disabled. Let's make this works a better place and erase hate.

My African American brothers and sisters. Black people from the USA I have to say. You are remarkable. God or whatever the entity that you belive in is remarkable. God has not kept you for so long without a purpose. You are God's people!! There is no modern Gospel music, no Jazz, No Blues, No RnB, No Funk, No Disco, No House, No Hip Hop and many parts of Hollywood premises. AND Ofcouse you have created innovative technology in science and engineering.
