He was about 17 years old when he recorded this song. People tend to forget or probably are not aware that stevie had his first number one song at age 13 back in 1963. He was a child star first before becoming a musical wunderkind in the early 70's. He made his magnum opus, songs in the key of life at age 25!! Yes, 25!

Thanks for this one, it’s one of my favorite Christmas songs. The melody and vocals are outstanding but the message is what gets me every time. “someday at Christmas man will not fail, hate will be gone and love will prevail”. Maybe someday soon. ❤️

Asia & BJ, you’ll love his “Sir Duke”, “Don't You Worry 'bout A Thing”, “ My Cherie Amour” and dozens more!!!!! edit - this song is from 1967, so he was 17 years old. Songwriters Ron Miller and Bryan Wells.

Stevie Wonder. 1. a blind man. 2. a black man 3. wrote most of his songs 4. played most instruments. 5. brilliant song writer. 6. 25 Grammys, the most by any solo artist 7. 1 Oscar 8. did I mention he was blind and black? 9. 23 studio albums, three soundtrack albums,

One thing it seems to show is that we used to value musicians for their musical talent, not their appearance or gender or skin color, which I think is reversed nowadays. Otherwise, how could a blind black man become this famous back in the 1960s??

When he first burst onto the scene he was “Little Stevie Wonder” and he was around 11 or 12. This was recorded when he was around 16 or 17. He is stunningly talented and has been around for many decades. Such a beautiful voice and amazing talent for songwriting. Thanks for doing this. 🎄🎁🎄

Yes, Stevie's is the original version (1967). He was 16 or 17 at this time. He already had several hits under his belt. Check out "Fingertips" (1963), his very first hit.

If you are still looking for a Christmas carol. The song never became popular in America. Back then in 1986, number one in England and number two in Germany. The Housemartins - Caravan of Love. The song "Build" also goes very well with it.
