Lyrically Stsvie is also a genius poet. He often uses metaphors to depict emotions. Here the he uses the nature & her seasons to perfectly describe moods & feelings. He also uses his voice and music to create the atmosphere and the mood he's communicating. Most artist aren't as conscious at communicating emotions so viscerally through the sounds they choose.

I can remember being woken up one day in 70s by my radio alarm clock and this was the song playing. The first time I ever heard it. And that's how I found out he had a new album. Funny how music can stir such vivid memories, bringing back that moment. I always say that music is the closest thing there is to a time machine.

Summer Soft is a clear sequel to Golden Lady, with a similarly dazzling array of ecstatic harmonic and key changes, organ swirls, and a dizzying latin-style rhythm section. It's yet another break-up song that uses the different seasons to reflect life's cruelly changing fortunes, but his take on this well-trod lyrical formula is as fresh as ever, with an electrifying climactic coda that takes us through just about the entire spectrum of modulations this song can possibly go through.

No...the song ends EXACTLY where this reaction ended. I believe "Ordinary Pain" starts about 1/2 second AFTER this tune ends. When you hear the album uninterrupted--in its entirety, you gain an appreciation for how well each song flows into the next. Not unlike Pink Floyd's, "Dark Side of the Moon" album.

Hi guy´s, great reaction as always! Songs in the Key of Life, one of the best records ever! This is perhaps old news for you but you should really check out a band called Dirty Loops. It is a trio and they play like aliens and I PROMISE that you will fall backwords and we will only se your feet!! To set the level of standard I can say that nowdays they work with Quincy Jones production team. Aweseome!! And please, do not sneak peak at their videos before the reaction, save that for us! Try a new song called Breakdown or perhaps their (old) cover of Britney Spears Circus. Be good!
