Stewart, 70 years old, don't care if he doesn't bang the drums as loud as he used to, I NEVER get bored of listening to this man play. For sure the most creative drummer of all time

This is one of those songs that's impossible to reproduce live. Especially vocally. It's a studio song. For me it's a top 10 song of all time.

I was at this show! It was fantastic! I didn’t grow up with the police, just recently got into them. Very glad I was able to see stew at least once in my life. Hopefully will see him once more before he retires, (which I hope won’t be soon). It’s like they say: Every little thing he does is magic.

That's Armand Sabal-Lecco on bass. Former member of Triangle. Philippe Saisse on keyboards, Senri Kawaguchi on drums.

Stewart's drumming is what makes Police rhythms work. Stewy could use the plexi glass sound cage. Would've helped the sound.

Great! I see the musical vision here. But at 1:23 it seems like not all the 3 vocalists' microphones are balanced equally so some of the jazz harmony is not coming through. But after 3 concerts, the singers are working together great. Now let's mike them all equally!!

I was there. LOVED the show. If I had to give a recommendation for the show it would be.....Orchestra needs to be mic'd up much much better. LOVE Stewy, but just like the Ben Hur Show he drowneded out the orchestra...more so with this group because I think there were less musicians. Maybe a new FOH engineer? Second half of the show you could tell the FOH tried to boost up the Orchestra...some feedback...and he pulled off. It would be AMAZING to see Stewy perform with a 60 plus piece orchestra at the bowl! LOVED the show and the Singers really kept the show going ( and me understanding what melody I was supposed to hear, since the orchestra was under the mix) . The bass player was great with great energy, but again he should of been up to Stewy's volume level...or close.

Beautiful, way way better than any live performance of that song, as mentioned by others due to Sting’s unending need to mix things up and his crappy live arrangements. What a fantastic idea by Stewart to bring these songs alive again. I am going to listen to the whole concert as soon as I get a minute.

It's a weird performance, but pretty much everything by The Police always works out.

The Song that inspired me to learn to play Guitar, Bass, Keyboards, percussion, i.e. music in general. But I still can't groove a drum kit. The Police is my starting point in my Music journey, much as I love Kiss, Maiden, Rush, Bowie, Striaits, Leppard, Sweet, Genesis, Kate Bush, Blondie et al. The first tune I'm likely to play when I pick up a guitar is going to be a Police song, and most likely this one. It was on the set list of my first live gig, and I was the one that suggested and insisted we play it, and guess what, It went down a storm. And like Francisco2868 I did use it to seduce my ,now sadly, ex, wife.

Interesting, however for me, it just doesn't work - Total respect for Copeland though.

unfort Stu is past his prime. I idolized him in the 80s when i was a teen and early 20s drummer. Its great he is playing of course as thats what it is all about essentially, but as time affects all of us it just isnt the same anymore, i even felt that on the police reunion tour back in 2007 or whatever year it was exactly. I just simply pass watching these performances, not after years of listening to them in their prime and the countless you tube clips of the police back in the day

Sorry to say, these derangements are a failure. There is no cohesion at all, harmonically. A waste of time and money. Ultimately just a charity begging for money to support SC’s grandiosity. He is only a good percussionist. I have yet to hear anything worth attending from a man who says he hates jazz, but cannot live up to his claim of being so much higher- evolved than jazz. I mean, truly. I listened and watched the video here. But Why does it feel like at the end, I’m watching people feeling sorry for him having purchased a ticket for this like he’s just a drum student in a parents’ date night of his special education school recital. I feel that the stage is set up wrong too. The orchestra should be in front, So to see who is playing what. And the singers and rock musicians should be in the back, and a lot less dominant. This is my opinion.

Part of me thinks you have a point. Given that Sting already does variations of these songs, I'm not convinced of the need for this. But having never seen The Police, I might go out of curiousity.

I just bought tickets, but I guess I should have listened to this video first as the girls don't seem to even know the lyrics or have their breathing down. I'm sure it will be a great show, but I was hoping it would be all instrumental and no vocals.

You'll be old someday too. Not famous, or wealthy, or an amazing drummer. Just old.
