I made it and eating it right now. OMG! sooooo good! I used carrots since I don't have pumpkin. I added fresh thyme which gives it a nice kick. I left out the salt. I ate it with brown basmati rice. If I have leftovers tomorrow, I will eat it with some couscous. Thank you for this wonderful recipe! Delicious and I am vegetarian too!

Yesterday i was supposed to make a lentils Dahl, but forgot to buy curry powder.. I was kinda sad and spend and hour on the Internet for a another recipe.. then I came across your video, and WOW!! When I tasted it I was so happy that I forgot to buy the curry powder! I ate it with some cawliflower rice and a bit of creme Fraiche. Don't over salt your food, but when you accidentally do, just add more raw onions. Works Everytime.

So tasty on a Monday!! Great idea-thank you! Used raw lentils.I added a chicken cube to cut back on salt, soy sauce becaUse I had no food coloring which worked so well. I used cinnamon to bring out taste. I do that in soups and baked Mac and cheese roux etc.,

it can be used in soups and stews. Can get it for 3$ or so. As a sub.. add a 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce.. but be mindful of it's sodium content

Mattison Gibson Pumpkin = squash I use butternut squash when a recipe calls for pumpkin.
