Steyr 680 as a fire truck

The Austrian Steyr factory presented the 680 COE model in 1959. For that time, it was a modern truck with a six-cylinder diesel engine. Four years later, a version with all-wheel drive was introduced, which became a popular military vehicle in the Austrian, as well as the Swiss army. This model, with various updates, was produced until 1986. In the 4×4 configuration, it was ideal for conversions - specially to fire trucks. Firefighters from Cerklje in Gorenjska region have one of them. It was brought from Austria when it was 25 years old, and now it has been serving them perfectly for 30 years. We took a little drive with it and spent wonderful afternoon.

Uh, pa baš ga treba stisnuti, ali, za 120 KS pod punim opterećenjem, to i ne čudi. Srećom, ima lep zvuk, pa to pritiskanje gasa do poda ima i pozitivnu stranu.

Ne štede ga: gas do poda, valjda je baš zbog toga u izuzetno dobrom stanju.

@@ebtimers460 Gas do poda, rad u redovnoj službi i, očigledno, redovno održavanje i mnogo posvećene pažnje. Čini se da to drži ovaj kamion "u životu". Neka tako i ostane.
