So today is a video about avoiding blowouts. I am so sorry for my bad English. My videos are quite spontaneous. I don't have a script or something like that 😂 Maybe I should for the next time.

I'm completely new to Tattooing and I bought two penstyle machines already. I'm enjoying learning on my own leg, even though I have made mistakes overworking the skin. I'm learning faster for going to live skin right away 😛. I'm just doing my first micro hand pokes and I LOVE doing it! I'm hoping to offer both to clients before very long. I'm developing an idea involving tattooing as a therapy. It is in it's infancy. Thanks for helping me bring tattooing to the tattoo curious. I meet them almost every day 🙂

Thank you for drawing it out. It makes so much more sense to me. My question is, could you do #3 on purpose as a shading technique, or is it not predictable enough?

This is so interesting, I knew about the first one and I knew ofcourse that you shouldn't use cheap ink but I didn't know why or how it actually affects the skin/tattoo! And didn't know about the third either. So thank you for this useful tutorial :)

Thank you for this. It’s very valuable, you’re a great teacher 👍🏻 can I ask you a question about ink? I’ve bought a bottle of Viking ink. They seem a good firm and I was wondering if you’ve used this brand before? As I’ve said in previous comments, I’m totally new to this. I’ve bought the items I need but I’m not using them till I feel confident and learned as much as I can. Thanks again as you’re my go to teacher xx

I used colours from viking ink and had no problems, but I can't recommend the black. Turned out, that it tends very fast to blowouts. And I mean really mean blowouts. Never had that problem with the other blacks I use, like panthera or Silverback.

Awesome info, im just learning at the moment and have done some practice on fake skins (which i see you don't recommend) but im glad i didn't do it on myself as im just playing and learning the medium. Your videos explain some of the things i have been really wondering like pulling the lines. I do wonder how you know when tattooing what depth you are at? Does it feel a certain way or do you just try for about 2mm ?

hello!thank you for your videos, they are really helpful. Now I have two questions: which ink can you recommend? And second question: how do you handle it (if we look at problem 3), when you have circles or lines to do and its not really (because of the position, if you poke yourself) possible to do a clear linefollowing? do you poke in a 90 degree ankle?or what is the best solution?

Hello! Few days ago i did my first stick and poke, im pretty sure that i went too deep because the area bled, but I don't see any blowouts around it. Is it gonna show after some time or should it be there from the moment I put the ink too deep?
@theartfulcorner961
@theartfulcorner961 Жыл бұрын
Normally you can see bad blowouts right after you poked to deep. Sometimes it takes a few days for the ink to settle in and the blowouts are more to be seen. Lightly blowouts need the redness of the skin to calm down to be seen.

Hi, thank you for such a wonderful video! I saw in an earlier comment that you said black viking ink tends very fast to blowouts. Why is that? If blowouts are caused by needle depth how does the ink itself cause blowouts?
@theartfulcorner961
@theartfulcorner961 3 жыл бұрын
In can't tell for sure, but it seems to go together with the size of pigments, that can blow out much easier when to small. Than the cells don't take them that easy and they blow out really badly. Other tattoo artist also think, that some ingredients can make blowouts more possible. I have used some inks, only had this really unusual blowouts with Viking liner, never with other Viking inks.

It depends on what you wanna do. With lines 45 and with shading as close to 90 as possible.

90 if you are close to the lines, so you don't poke accidentally under the line. The rest is quite flexible.
