Technically, in tf2 lore, sentries depend on clothing choices to pick the enemies, since RED has more classy and old uniforms and BLU has modern uniforms, the sentries pick up this clothing and use it to distinguish the enemy.

of course this take away the revolver as the revolver is actually considered secondary by the game, But I guess replacing the only gun would be fair since it make important classes (or picks) be at risk from their own teammate and sentries, which can make it powerful, but by replacing the revolver however, it might balance out it power. if it overpowered just go with reflectable by pyro

that would be a good sapper, *"The Paint"*, spy can use this to make the sentry turn on the other team for a few seconds. the downsides are the spy will take crits for 5 seconds after placing, and it only takes a hit with the wrench to make it better.

Imagine this idea as a replacement for the sapper. It takes a few seconds to change the sentry to your team and the first engine to wrangle it can keep it until it's destroyed by the enemy.

stats: (its a sapper not a paint bucket) the table turner when placed on any enemy team building that building after 5 seconds it will be turned to your team but after 1 minute it will explode (or revert back 25% chance)

Team Paint -Makes whatever is affected switch teams. ex: red sentry, spy puts blue paint, sentry turns blue for a short amount of time. -After the short time, it will be destroyed Maybe like 4/3 seconds. -After putting the paint on, sentry malfunctions and takes 2 seconds for it to switch teams.

Replace the Pistol with a Paintball Gun: 10, 1 round clips. Each round can hit any enemy engineer building to cause it to change teams temporarily. Sentry will attack the opponents, dispensers heal allies, and teleporters go temporarily offline. Liquid items, and building healing items remove paint instantly as well as sapping painted buildings has a -15% sap rate
