Fantastic review, thanks for this! I too love the Bobbi Brown stick; I have a lot of texture from teenage acne scars (I'm 48), and this provides a beautiful smooth base. I do have to set it lightly though (Next to Nothing). I get the most compliments on how good my skin looks when I wear this or the Laneige BB cushion.
@wendyraye5 жыл бұрын
@Dina Sawlani do you use a brush, sponge, or fingers? I never thought of using a sponge with a stick. Thanks!
@dinasawlani5 жыл бұрын
@@wendyraye tbh just use my fingers, blends quite quickly. Beauty blender didn't work on me, I think a conventional old fashioned makeup sponge would work better. I do recommend being well moisturised because Bobbi Brown is not the super emollient type of stick. It does transfer a little though.
@thrpschr5 жыл бұрын
Loved this video. The only one I have is the Bobbi Brown, which, funnily enough, looks awful on me, or at least it did the last time I tried it. Sat in my pores, emphasized all my texture, would not stick to my nose (apart from pooling in the pores). It could look nice once in a blue moon, if I was extremely finicky when applying it, with a sponge, doused myself in Fix+ beforehand, had a great skin day and pulled out all the stops for it, but it was just too much work. I haven't tried to wear it in a while and it's definitely pretty old by now, but my skin has changed slightly the last year or so, so perhaps it's worth another shot if it hasn't gone bad.

I have a Revlon color ready HD one with SPF. I live in Canada and it is pricey (around $20) because SPF products are federally regulated (like medicine which makes any type of sunblock product expensive). I don't like it because it doesn't blend well with a brush and the coverage is light to light medium. I try to put on more it gets patchy and cakey fast. I use my fingers to blend... it looks better that way but still looks slightly cakey over my large pores. Using it under primer is a big no. The stick is quite waxy. Ooo, what a great video! I love foundation sticks for my everyday makeup, and they are so easy to travel with. My favorites are the Bobbi Brown and the Sephora Collection Make No Mistake foundation stick. The Tom Ford ranks a distant third, but I usually just grab it for use as a concealer. I also picked up one at Whole Foods from the brand Au Naturale and was surprised at how well it performed for a more natural product. Oddly though, the Sephora one is the one I reach for most often and the packaging is surprisingly chic and sturdy (just a matte black tube). maryragansings I forgot to say - HOWEVER - the Bobbi Brown is just as good, only more sheer. It was sort of funny to me that my favorites - if I had to pick three - were the Bobbi Brown, the Tom Ford and the Wet n Wild. Haha! A bit all over the map with price points but they’re all equally great stick foundations!

Dustin, you are welcome! It is marvelous that you found one at such a low price point; many people will be very happy about that.

Claudia B 19th! Or 20th... I can’t tell. KZbin keeps telling me it’s both every time I look. They’re probably hiding some in their pocket somewhere but I ain’t falling for it!

Haven't used stick foundation in eons. My skin is too oily for that. To be fair, it's too oily for all foundations.

I go back to loose powder mineral foundation. It's messy but it works and helps minimize pores
