The trek marlin maybe considered a “beginner bike” but I can tell u from experience it’s a very very good bike . I use to ride a lot and enter a few races every year and rode a higher end full suspension then . After taking a break for about 10years . I just recently decided to get back into it and I also chose a 2020 marlin . Bikes have really gotten a lot better over the years since the 26 in standard wheel size days . You get a lot for the money with these bikes .i feel just as confident on my marlin than I did on my full suspension race bike I had back then . Keep it up buddy . And remember have fun , don’t get caught up in all the small details of your bike . Ride to have fun and be fit And don’t worry about anything else .

Awesome, congrats on your new bike too! Which color did you go with? I was so nervous that the Emerald Iris would look glittery I almost tried to cancel the order and go with the red... now that I have it, I love it. I just wish I would have put some of that protective tape over the frame when I got it though... she already has several scratches... oh well. And thanks for the advice about the details... Unfortunately, I have always been a details kind of person and enjoyed geeking out on them. The bike world is a lot bigger than I first imagined, and honestly, I don't know why. I was the same way with backpacking... oh well. I am trying to get out and ride it, and enjoy it, but I will admit, I am having fun tinkering with it too... I actually just sorta almost accidentally ordered a new brake set up for it and have been watching lots of videos on how to install them... doesn't look to bad, but being my first time I'll be nervous... same as I was with putting the new fork on. But it's so much fun looking at it and thinking, "I did that!" Sorta makes it feel more mine too. Anyway, thanks for stopping by and commenting!

Also you said u were in Burnsville on that ride isn’t that close to Iuka ? Not sure if that is where u live or traveled to but . Not to much further east is wildwood park in Florence al and shoal creek nature preserve mtb trials also in Florence and the new coming soon in late 2019 trails at joe wheeler state park . Just north from iuka near Memphis is Shelby farms most of the trails were made by Buffalo they have there roaming it’s a awesome place . I haven’t been there in many years but It was a fast smooth trail .

Yeah, that is what got us into it... I was going to just pick up a bike from Walmart and then realized that some of them were at $300! This made me read reviews, and then I realized that I would be better off putting my money elsewhere... I actually ended up getting a different bike first (which I may do a video on sometime soon), and then ended up also getting this Marlin 7. I have found that bikes are just as much, if not more of a rabbit hole then backpacking was! LOL...

beautiful bike, awesome color!

Rodrigo Duran, It’s not really about the color it’s more about the parts, I’d rather a dull colored bike with better parts, but you are right it is very pretty

When you are crossing the Tombigbee on 72 in Burnsville (heading towards Alabama) just look to your left. It’s the railroad bridge.

All this time I thought it was near Tishomingo. I now know where it is. Thanks son..

Thanks! It’s the 2020 Marlin 7. It’s crazy that even these entry level bikes are as expensive as they are!

At the boat ramp just off 72 in Burnsville. I rode to the bridge at highway 25, near JP Coleman if I’m not mistaken. Was 16 miles total.
@themayofamily31304 жыл бұрын
