They make a 10% solution which is better to use for treating clothes, the solution you are using is ill advisable to use on clothing - even diluted. That is an industrial pesticide made for agricultural and landscaping needs for lawn and forest applications. With 10% solution use 1.5 oz to 32 oz of water will equate to 0.625% which is still with safety margin and ticks still die and fall off. Using it for the last 30yrs living in rural bush country.

You guys out there, you can loctite this guide rod and then cut off 1/4", then you can take it apart without a tool!

You need to coat the bearing/washer area with nail polish. It’ll be gritty otherwise.

Bro, my instinct is just be a man and take off the booties and put on my boots to take a leak. That way you can drop the bootie covers at home. I'd like to hear what your opinion is now since it has been years since you made this video. Did you decide to keep them or ditch em?

Id rather lather myself in honey and be eaten alive by insects then spent 10 seconds in that thing. Can you imagine being trapped in that stinky tomb during a 2 day storm While your on your Vacation time away from work....LOL

I agree with you in a lot. But Silnylon ist not a good Material for a floor. When you put pressure with your elbow on the material and the ground is wet you make a much higher pressure than the 3000mm hydrostatic head. That’s the reason why nearly every manufacturer from regions where it’s really wet uses PU or TPU coated polyamid. Yes it’s heavier. The lightest TPU floor material weighs 65g/square meter. So I think the only way to go really light AND waterproof, is DCF and the best way to go waterproof and strong is TPU polyamid.

Good video. I only have 2 things to point out. First, the main spring and the mag well are separate pieces. Second, when you take down a TRP, unscrew the guide rod and then pull the slide stop to take the top end apart. You’re making it harder on yourself by having to stuff the spring in under pressure. I know, I’m 9 years late to comment this lol

I ordered mine September 2013. It still works fantastically. I've never had a battery pack last like this. It's been to the river, the lake, camping and traveling everywhere. Too bad they don't make these anymore.

I hate to be the one to tell you this but esbit fuel releases CYANIDE. The chances of your ingesting some after any tabs have been burned in it are quite high. Technically, you're not even supposed to sit too close to it in an open space as it burns. Beware of heart problems and possible heart attack. That junk may burn pretty well but its very toxic and was never intended to get thet close to your food. One paper's breath away from early death. Please dont ignore this, as it may save your life.

A terrible experience with Therm-a-Rest ProLite Apex. Follow the link to watch the proof video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nZ_Kp3ieZdWfibM I want to express my disappointment in Therm-a-Rest brand. Before a trip to the Caucasus, I bought ProLite Apex mats. And here’s what happened: This is such a «wonderful» mat that at some point I’ve got an extra "cushion" because the adhesive layers have peeled off inside the mat. That little "cushion" turned into a big bubble the next day! As a result, the mat turns into one big bubble. The funny thing is that when you lie down with your body on the mat, all the air moves into this bubble. The mat becomes thin under your body, and the compressed air in the bubble turns it into a «hard stone». So this bubble cannot serve as a pillow in any way - it is impossible to sleep. Two days later, the same problem occurred with the second mat. Now it looks like a pattern!

Definitely I’ve had 2 since I was 17 and the first was badly damaged when I hit an IED while serving in Afghanistan and the face was cracked but it still worked but very hard to read the face so I got a 2nd when I turned 30 and I’m still wearing it at 40 years old and the first one still works but it’s getting condensation even though it’s sitting in my closet so that crack must’ve got worse. Like this vid said you can buy them discounted but even at msrp there worth it in my opinion. Good luck
