welding narrow is one key to production . Rule of thumb weld the weld not the pipe. Was told this when I was a Bronc. I was so far behind I thought I was first . If you weld to much past the bevel you have to put more metal into the weld and the possibility of pin holes is greater. Looks alright Jake

You're editing as improved but may I suggest something. You have to start playing with your welding lenses on your video camera . It's coming into dark so you may have to go in and try a shade 3 or even a shade 5 on the video camera . Other than that you're doing a great job thank you brother!

What is your take on an Eastwood welder? Was looking into getting a multi process machine soon since I will be starting welding school in October, and I’d like to have a machine I can practice with that’s multi process since I’ll be learning mig tig and stick. My father in-law has always used miller thru work, but with my financial situation I can’t afford something like that right off the bat.
@JacobSchofield5 жыл бұрын
I have no idea brother. Get what you can afford I guess is what it boils down to.

Do you start on the same spot on each pass or do you jump around so it won’t have a “weak point” by starting on the same spot?
@JacobSchofield5 жыл бұрын
It should have zero week spots. It will depend mostly on sch of the pipe. 2”Sch 80 I just weld it. Sch 160 2” I will be keeping levels and squares out while I weld it so I jump around quite a bit to let that weld pull and do what it needs to, to keep everything square
