I wish my miller multimatic 255 was ac dc tig. I had to buy a separate machine a watercooled everlast 255 for ac tig. I also just got a harbor freight omnipro 220 for field work

Question for anyone really. I’m 53 in relatively good shape. I’ve taken up hobby welding in the last 2 years. I followed everyone advice in the 80’s and 90’s. Went to college and earned a masters degree. I hate my job with a passion. Cannot stand it. I’d love to go do some welding/fabrication and do some real work with my hands. Am I too dang old at this point?

I've never worked at a gas plant. I'm currently working in a coal fired power plant, it's a 70 year old plant and i can say that it is a beginner's/apprentice's awesome place to learn
