Poppin, slappin, pluckin and thumpin!! The fact of the matter is that Larry Graham (Sly & the Family Stone, Graham Central Station) has had a major influence on generations of electric bassists. In this joyful episode, the StickPeople chat with Larry about his roots and how he developed a revolutionary approach that forever changed the sounds of jazz, funk, fusion and R&B. They also drill down on some of Larry’s key collaborators, including Sly, Prince and the StickPeople’s own Greg Errico.
THE STICKPEOPLE ARE:
Mike Clark (Herbie Hancock, Headhunters)
Greg Errico (Sly & the Family Stone, Weather Report)
David Garibaldi (Tower of Power, Talking Drums)
Michael Shrieve (Santana, Go)
Lenny White (Miles Davis, Return to Forever)
LARRY GRAHAM AUDIO CLIPS:
“(You’re a) Foxy Lady”
"Tell Me What It Is"
"I Believe In You"
“Sneaky Freak”
"Last Train"
"The Jam"

Speaking of long relationships I am humbled and so proud to say my friendship with three of you exceeds (sit down) 150+ years and if I count when I met 5 of the 6 of you it's a whopping 250+ years. OMG!! Still kickin. Thank you again this brought me back. Love y'all
