I just did the challenge and completed it first try however I only used baseball bat till melee moch and had triple shot and strength training on it and used tomahawks and fun tid bit a car exploded and killed zombies and got the zombies eliminations and was kinda annoyed but continued anyway because why not I guess and I still ended up getting the challenge done even tho a car clearly exploded and killed zombies and were not melee kills

Just did it with the drill. Seems like theres no chance of it hitting crits which is nice. I had jug, stam, qr & mm. I didn't use combat axe or any tacs. I didn't use my field upgrade. Just pap3 / purple drill I also went down twice and buying self res didn't affect anything

A few more tricks: - You can pick NUKES, but I personally don't do it. I know this due someone did on stream (on reddit its the url) and picked up nukes. - If you're not sure about the critical hits on a crawler, use the throwing knife on them as they will always give the throwing knife kill and not the critical one. - With the vermins, you can also use the throwing knife tactic to avoid screwing up it. - In Liberty falls, upon starting a new round, try to punch the vending machine. Usually it gives you essence, but sometimes you can have a free PaP, Rarity change or even free Melee machiatto. Doing this on the first round and having luck (as I did with the PaP lv. 1 at round 1) will grant you a huge success.

What I've found to work really well for me was just training in the bowling alley and using the combat axe with the hot foot augment on stamina up, and then smacking manglers and abominations with the bat. It makes this dark ops so incredibly easy when it's done this way.

Thank you, it worked pretty well Since I did not have the bat unlocked, I used the drill because , which aside the short range and a bit of hard to hit the Aboms because of the hitting boxes, worked well and not critical risk. Also, I confirm that getting a Nuke still works and does not fail the challenge. Tomahawk is a game changer. Played on PS5

If anyone feels like they messed up at any point, you can Dashboard and resume the game from the start of the same round and it will still count. Atleast it did for me when I did the Social Distancing challenge.

got it on first try thanks to this guide + another one combined together for full information basicly just combat axe and melee avoid kabooms + insta kill lay down in front of manglers feet before killing to avoid crit hits avoid stairs and you should get it on first run as for augments and perks use Quick revive (with 2 seconds of immortality avoid lethal damage) juggernaut with out the armor plates stuns enemies melee M with slightly faster melee

I want to say I’m pretty sure everyone really appreciates this guide,I know me for a fact as I’ve gone for this 6 times and was about to give up thinking it was buggy because no one was very conclusive on what the fail requirements are and I’m glad you went over that. Just completed the challenge with 4 accidental critical kills, and with nukes/ insta kill. Just don’t add a ammo mod/ or use nades and you’re good.

Keep these coming this is awesome! I had commented yesterday. I still haven't gotten the 20 rounds without taking damage but I did manage to solo directed mode for first time and getting comfortable training the zombies. These are my favourite guides! I'm prestige 1 lvl 42. Just unlocked akimbo for my gs45 and I hope to unlock aether shroud again soon for the other strategy. I need to get better at meleeing but this'll come in handy

So I had this non-melee-mangler-kill at the very end of round 24. I then saved and exited the game, reloaded into it and finished the round with melee kills only. And guess what? It worked! So if you fail once, don‘t restart, just save and exit (must be before the round ends). This might also work for social distancing?

EDIT: I just got it to pop today. Idk what I did different but I will say what I did. I didn't use Combat Axe or Tacticals. I didn't even have Combat Axe equipped but I made sure not to throw any. I used the knife. I made sure not to get ANY critical kills INCLUDING on Manglers and Abominations. I bought Jugg, Melee Machiado and Speed Cola. I used Aether Shroud with the Augments Group Shroud and Extension. I picked up multiple drops including nukes. I bought the two armour plate set. I packed my knife to pap level 3 and upgraded it to purple rarity. The one thing I am unsure about is I think an Abomination killed a couple of zombies with its laser beam attack but I cannot be 100% on this. This is what I did to get it and I can comment that everything I used was allowed and I still got the calling card. Best of luck guys and don't give up! I did this 9 different times before it worked for me but I hope this info can help others!

Use a concussion grenade to break the skull above the church at round 11 and get the free blue aether tool to upgrade your melee rarity, it saves your salvage and lets you upgrade to epic super fast.

Big game - major aug, incendiary - minor augm, (preferably elemental pop with citrus focus and chill berry) directed mode, progress normaly till the round which requires you to capture elite with aether trap, kill every zombie in the round and then spawn elite. Dont actually kill him with trap, just damage him till he's very low hp, game is coded so you cant affect him by any ammo mods, but good thing while you fight him 2 heavy armored zombies would be spawning infininittely, and minor augment "incendiary" can spread the burn effect on him. Just buy some green wall buy weapon with fast fire rate like c9 or m4 apply napalm burst, then kite zombies till they are almost hugging the elite and shoot em to prock napalm burst. Eventually he will be catch on fire and die of burning. Repeat the same thing 10 times. Ez

@Paulchen3333 finally worked for me yesterday first time, I upgraded knife and bought other perks but just use the combat axe whenever possible as that won't crit , don't knife crawlers to avoid "critical melee kills" and for abominations hit from behind / side. If your scoreboard has any critical kills it'll fail!

PLEASE PLEASE READ: As of the release of the power drill melee weapon, this challenge is infinitely easier to get, as the drill will pretty much always grant "melee kills" on zombies and vermin however which way you hit them. You still have to take the same precaution for manglers and abominations, but overall the power drill works like a charm for this challenge and makes it FAR less stressful. Hope this helps anyone 👍

Idk if the Crit kill matters I was sitting on the tank with the knife and stabbing them in the heads most of the time same with crawler so unless I got insanely lucky and head shot 200+ Zombies with out criticaling them it doesn’t matter.

It doesn’t matter unless it pops up with critical kill on the feed. It’s not a likely thing to have happen but it can happen, especially on the manglers. But knifing zombies is unlikely to get the critical kill. That tank spot gives a weird hitbox imo and maybe that doesn’t track the same area for critical kills like it would normal melee kills?

@@Absoulem ya for the most part rounds 12+ I was using the tank by PaP going up and down killing as much as possible and then when they got round up I’d just go down the path by the GY and use the throwing axe on them then they line up. And when the bug rounds happened I went to the BA and went in the one shelf by the Stam up cola and killed them one by one as they jumped up.

@ I’m not logged in right now, but there are some prestige 4 multiplayer challenges for using equipment that seem really hard (more luck based than anything) triple kills and double kills on points. I guess there isn’t much strategy besides playing face off or something but that category has been tough for me

Absoulem the armored zombies are a major pain of this game. Is there an attachment, perk augment, or ammo mod that best kills them? Im almost halfway to all opal and it feels like most guns just dont work past 30 because of the armor literally everywhere.

Run liberty falls , build jet gun and farm with it . Pap jet/your gun at least once and use the jet gun too get manglers weak.Pap more as you get money. Also if with friends save manglers until the end . You all can get the "kill" assist which counts as a kill still . Just have too be quick

I am doing them by class so I should have been more specific, getting each class to opal before moving on. I hate how much damage reduction armor gives to anything that isn't a wonder weapon.

Just go into directed mode, open pap, but don't do any other step. The round will be capped at 11, then just pap 3 and keep killing everyone.

Hey Yall got a tip unrelated to this challenge but instead a workaround for the workbench bug just trying to spread the information best of luck here it is! tip for yall as of 11/18 the bench is still glitched but if you have a lot of salvage you can do this method: after a round of killing zombies if there are tacticials and lethals on the ground you can do the following: 1. craft a single molotov and shock charge. 2. pick up a lethal and tacital leaving the shock charge and molotov on the ground 3. go back to the bench and repeat step one 4. pick up the 1st moltovo and shock charge you crafted 5. pick up equipment from step 2 6. pick up molotov and shock charge again After these steps you will have more than one the game might say you have one of each on the bottom right but when you pick it up it will say you picked up two Hope this helps happy grinding! Just wanted to put out since I didn't hear it in the video, Dead Wire (and presumably other ammo types) also do NOT fail the challenge. I completed Sticks n Stones minutes before typing this, and I had dead wire from the moment I could get it. Also void sheath doesn't fail it either, as I had that on too.

Did you do the Easter egg on the church for the free blue upgrade? Wondering if that would ruin a run. Been running thru dark ops and this is my next one just seeing what is/isn’t allowed. A ruined run and not knowing why is frustrating and heartbreaking 😂

@bluelightning3099 I didn't since I didn't wanna use explosives at ALL for fear of them ruining my run haha, even cringed when I accidentally re-equipped my gun
