This activity encourage kids' cognitive (i.e., problem solving skills, classifying), physical (i.e., gross motor skills- increasing levels of activity, endurance, fine motor skills- drawing), communication (i.e., using descriptive language to explain the hiding place and explore the shapes), emotional (i.e., self-esteem) and social skills (i.e., taking another person's point of view, and etc).
You also can try drawing different things that children are interested in such as numbers and letters on sticky notes :) It will improve kids' creativity as well!
