man i loved this band when i was a kid.. one of the best musical moments and gigs of my life was watching them live in Bristol UK and playing Johnny Was.. what a perfect song that they made there own.. what a voice Jake had back in the early days!!!!

I knew SLF from the beginning, and they were the authentic musical response to the Troubles. Simple Minds and Paul McCartney, for example, could go and amuse themselves with paper tissues. BTW, Larry Mullin might have learned a thing or two from these drum drills....
