saw them on this tour at the mayfair in newcastle...probably my first gig - i saw the pogues and big country there the same week....guess that don't happen these days..made my teenage years and i never looked back...what a week!

Gracias por tu respuesta! Dolphin en los discos era bueno (mejor ejemplo que las cosas que hizo en Now Then no hay...) , pero lamentablemente en vivo dejaba mucho que desear. Lo que si, no concuerdo con lo del gran Bruce Foxton. Para mi tener al bajista de The Jam tocando en SLF fue como cuando Matt Freeman( Rancid) estuvo tocando con Social Distortion. Un gran bassman para una gran banda! Ademas escucharlo cantar una hermosa canción como Dust in my Eye fue la gloria! See ya!

@slf78 Creo que el tema es que no hay MEJOR o PEOR sino una cuestión subjetiva de gustos. Tanto Ali como Bruce hicieron excelentes trabajos con SLF, a lo que yo apunto es que Foxton viene de otra gloria del punk 77 como The Jam y fue increible verlo al lado de Jake! Con respecto a lo de ser buen tipo, no creo que eso influya en su desempeño como bassman. Podes ser una excelente persona y ser pésimo en las 4 cuerdas. Si fuera solamente por eso, en lugar de músicos deberiamos buscar AMIGOS!

Nunca me gustó Dolphin,no creo que sea un baterista para SLF. Tocaba demasiado lentas las canciones,y solia perderse con los arreglos... Jim Reilly en cambio era excelente! Go for it,and see you up there!!!!!
