Agreed. She said they were running around on the day of the wedding trying to solve the marriage license problem, so the day likely wasn't going to play ANYWAY re: the schedule. They also had possession of the dresses for who knows how long between the wedding and the court case. I'm wondering why the zipper wasn't fixed the same way as the reception dress. If the plaintiff was there and hand-sewing anyway, why wouldn't they have her sew up a zipper (or even sew the girl into the dress like they did before zippers)? Just way too many moving pieces to figure out where liability would be, and both litigants looking for (in the judge's parlance) a boNANza with inflated lawsuits.

Here's a clue. 99% of people who get dresses "specially made" look like their crazy aunt made them last night. Everyone can tell and it just screams terrible taste. I don't know why some people think it's a good solution. It's terrible. They usually look like trash. Buy from a store and get them altered!!! You get strong stitching from a proper manufacturer and high quality dresses for reasonable prices. It's almost always cheaper and far more elegant than trying to handmake something. Why do people put themselves through this? Stop feeling like you can't find anything you like in a store. There's millions of dresses out there.

The idea that someone would be marrying a married man and getting upset over dresses lets you know she doesn’t have the right priorities. This is why you don’t mess with married ppl-- She didn’t care honestly. Ppl want to impress others so they put a pretty bow a pile of dung. She hadn’t any business going through with any part of the day and she and her “man” were to caught up in lusting to do the right thing and make sure that things were together. Without a marriage license ... you don’t have a marriage a wedding is a day and the way they started and the day went is a huge indication that it’s not right. @faznout I disagree. I know so many people (mostly women) that just refuse to agree to the divorce (they want to hang on, don’t want to give up financial benefits, etc). When I was getting divorced, my ex and I were in the courtroom and watched a man cry to the judge. His wife continued to extend the process…it had been 3 years. The judge said he was sorry but if the wife said she didn’t want the divorce he couldn’t “just grant it”. The shit is awful.
@faznout Жыл бұрын
@@MrsNikkiStephenson - I kinda get what you're saying. But a lot of people who get divorced, after several months or a year later they end up missing each other. Then start talking about getting back together again, which some do. Then not long after that they start having the same problems all over again. No matter if another man or woman is involved or not. The main reason is because in most relationships neither party wants to be the one to change or say they're wrong. So when a couple gets back together married or not, they go right back to the same person and problems that caused the breakup in the first place. But if adults would just get over themselves, and seek professional help, it would be a lot different in so many relationships.

So I have a question...HOW EXACTLY was the dressmaker at fault for being late when the bride, herself, admits that nobody actually told the dressmaker what time she needed to be at the venue to deliver ALL the dresses, because they foolishly decided to wait till the day of the wedding to have ALL the dresses in hand. How was she to know that she was supposed to be at the venue at noon, if you didn't tell her that. And then, the bridesmaid said she arranged for the dress lady to arrive at 11:00, but when she didn't arrive, bridesmaid DID NOT call her to see where the dresses were for the bridal party because she didn't feel like getting involved in the drama. There wouldn't have BEEN any drama if you had just asked the lady when she would be there and given her the address and time that she would be needed. If she needed to be there at 11:00 to get the bridal party ready for the wedding that was happening at 3:30, why wasn't the bridesmaid on the phone, telling her when to get there? Instead, she DID NOT call and the lady didn't show up on time. It was almost, kind of karma that all the dresses were ripping at the reception because this whole thing is so bizarre and disorganized. Its the bridesmaid's fault for not securing the dressmaker on time and its the dressmakers fault for not being prepared with all of these dresses on the day of the wedding. I think she bit off WAY more than she could chew, agreeing to make all of these gowns and it showed in the quality of her final product. She was still trying to finish the dresses on the day of the wedding. So really, they are both at fault.

Maybe those dresses tore open because the seams were being given the workout of their lives.
