Best part of this video is the training and you mentoring your son in the proper way to fell a tree. There is no rushing when it comes to safety and you are teaching him good practices. Also the fact you had a 250 there as well shows he is getting practice on smaller saws before you toss him a bigger one. Thumbs up on the video from showing the saw and the interaction showed with your son.

That’s what it’s all about. I may not be an expert myself but it’s my job to pass on what knowledge I have to my son. I have enjoyed watching him grow and learn. My hopes is that he is better than me someday and passes it on to one of his own! Thanks for the positive feedback 👊🏻

Best firewood saw ever made. I’ve had mine for 4 years now and I cut 15 cords a year with it. It’s my favorite saw that Stihl makes I won’t buy any other saw. I run 18” bar with full chisel chain. It’s a beast of a saw

I gotta say it’s becoming my favorite saw after just owning it for two years. I run a 20 inch bar simply because my son has the MS 250 with the 18 on it. The 261 is so satisfying to run that it is in my hand, probably 90% of the time. I appreciate you watching and commenting.👊🏻

Nice job Evan! It looks like you have picked the best saws for your needs Todd. I think the way you made your cut at waist height is the best way to be safe, we do the same. I really like the power of the 400 but I also wanted a smaller saw to do the limbing work. In some cases while cutting in the woods it’s nice to have the smaller saw and shorter bar to maneuver through the brush. Thanks for watching Ray👍🏻

@@toddsoutsideagain I use an ms250 then jump to a husky 460. We all need choices. If you want another option and I did this with my 460. I went from a 24 inch bar that I liked. Down to an 18 and holly crap my saw changes. Fun freaking saw 60cc and an 18 inch bar. Makes my disrespected farm saw more than capable for not being a pro saw. Have a great night!

Great felling there Evan, right on the money. Don’t see many “Humbolts” in the Midwest or East thought it was a west coast thing. Your right Todd, power-to-weight on the 261 is numero uno, they ran the numbers, think it comes in just under 11 lbs. I figure it's cheaper than buying a new saw,and ya dont have all the fussy mtronic stuff that can go out. I do love my little ms250 too,its a real back saver.
