I don't believe so on what type of gas used in them its the people not taking care of the blowers and keeping dust and dirt cleaned out from them like the 2003 model one i have was never took care of well the person used it and used it but never cleaned it out any from what i could see So the owner's fuck them up from not doing any maintenance on them i would say look at the used one i bought but i have no video about it on here then you'd see Im really thinking about just put a whole new cylinder head on mine the piston is perfect. because the muffler screws will not come out so it'll get that and a new muffler after thats all done ill add up how much ive spent on fixing it back up to working condition then ill see how much i saved from not buying a brand new blower i know they couldn't cost $50.00 what i paid for my used one

@@Mike-su8si Stihl is less reliable because there are infinitely more parts to the engine. The engines are more sensitive to poor mix ratios and are much much more time consuming to repair. Echo blower engine replacement, you're looking at 20-30 minutes. Stihl you're looking at an hour on the low end.

The Canadian people were super friendly and referred to the USA as "the lower 48" like we were all one country. DO NOT use an impact wrench to take the fan off, can break the flywheel which has a non replaceable woodruff key. I used a 2 ft 1/2 breaker bar with another 2 foot of lead pipe.

you need to get a 1/4 impact driver, best tool for any repetitive jobs with 1000 screws. i have the snap on and the milwaukee m12 both with with 1/4 anvil which i think is better for mechanics than the 1/4 bit driver style. the snap on is actually preferable to me because the trigger rocks forward/reverse so no stopping and switching is required, just use your index or middle finger for forward/reverse.... get one... you'll be made up

If you make the mistake of buying this blower, the easiest way to take off that fan is to shove some thick string into the sparkplug slot which will block the piston from moving. Had trouble with that process myself.

Judging by the color of the fuel and how you mention that the owner said it was siezed you can tell that failure was due to the owner for not properly using the correct mixed fuel ratio. In other words you cant fix stupid!
@Slaypalm3 жыл бұрын
It’s Tru Fuel, it’s PREMIXED ethanol free fuel. It comes pink, there are thousands of positive reviews on it and most companies now offer some sort of deal if you buy it with their equipment. They could have bought a 40:1 mix instead of a 50:1 though. It actually burns cleaner and better but you’re going to pay for it. As well there’s no reason to drain the carb for winterization because the fuel will last up to 2 years in the tank and not degrade like normal pump premix unless you use Stabil.
@evictioncarpentry26283 жыл бұрын
@@Slaypalm those pre mix fuel like Aspen run like garbage and are about 10x more expensive then mixing.
@Slaypalm3 жыл бұрын
@@evictioncarpentry2628 I can’t speak for the Aspen brand because I’ve never tried it, but the pre mix fuel I’m referencing “TruFuel” has thousands of reviews at 5 stars. As well, Husqvarna and Stihl make their own that have been highly rated. The only complaint I’ve heard about is the pricing and that depends on your usage. If you use 5-10 gallons of gas a year, only buy it for storage. I rarely see 2 gallons a year, so it’s not worth keeping around a bunch of gas, 2 cycle oil and Stabil. Having my equipment start and run like new whenever I want is worth double the price in my opinion.
