got to love those Crappy Tire tools...especially when they are on sale. I'd stack their combo wrenches up against the ones sold off those white and red trucks any day. ;-) Thanks for the clear video Dave. Cheers from NB

Good to see you back at it Dave. Very good video and your right about the conditions a saw works in. The only thing dirtier than working on a chainsaw is working on a concrete saw. You keep your saw alot cleaner than most! 👍🎥🇨🇦🇺🇸Roger

You clean it, and you keep it clean often, there's no reason not to. 😉

Yes it has been a long time, 6-months since your last repair video, I ended up developing a complex in all that time. HAHA! So a Stihl with an Mtronic is it eh? I think we will call that a Stilch then. I think you did a really great job, you were really careful not to damage anything while taking it apart, you serviced the carb with a cleaning and new carb kit professionally, and you put it back together with just as much care, that is something that I like to see. I gotta say, that thing has excellent throttle response, vroom vroom, ready to cut some wood.

I have 2 of these. The black solenoids didn't work, the green ones were a problem too. I'm on to white to see how they'll do. Stihl says white isn't for the this saw, but I've heard they work just fine with the new orange fuel filter. We'll see.
@DavesSmallEngines2 жыл бұрын
Let me know Philip - I just filmed a video on how to change out the solenoid. Just need to edit. I had good luck with a green solenoid on the MS441CM. Cheers!

Dave,ive gotta replace my throttle cable in my ms441cm. Once the carb is out of the way is it pretty accessable? Theres no room at all with the carb on it. Ive always had saws with simple linkages, so this is my first go around with a cable replacement.

Great video sir, have you ever worked on a Stihl 066? I think I'll do a carb rebuild.

Iwould have lost all the screws already. If i dont use a magnetic tray i might as well throw the carb away because i wont have screws to put it back together with.
