Stihl FS 94r Tune Up. How to replace Stihl FS 94r FUEL FILTER, SPARK PLUG and AIR FILTER.

My Stihl fs 94r is not running correctly so I am going to give it a tune up. I am going to replace the Stihl fs 94r fuel filter, the air filter and the spark plug. I really hope it’s not a carburetor issue! Thanks for watching my Stihl fs 94r tuneup and as always like and subscribe!

Thanks for the helpful video ! I used two pencils as "chopsticks" and was finished with the replacement in barely 90 seconds 👍👍 ** The Owners Manual is USELESS: It merely shows the filter and says "Change Every Year". My unit (a BG 56) has a mirror image of your fuel tank, which I almost began removing & disassembling, but I decided to first do a quick search online for help.

I've used the same 94r for 4 years. At the beginning of each season I put a good amount of SeaFoam in the fuel. SeaFoam was made for those old 2 stroke boat motors. Doesn't really do anything for a 4 stroke but if you put some SeaFoam in a 2 stroke it will start running like a new engine.

I ordered the screwdriver 🪛 to tune the carburetor just like you suggested in your other video. I’m having the same problem with my FS 94 R grass trimmer. I’m hoping that just a simple tune up will fix it. Because I don’t want to have to replace the whole thing. I might have to do a compression test to see if the engine makes enough PSI of pressure. It might end up just being a ‘spare parts’ trimmer.

You deff wanna go battery powered its a game changer. We purchased 2 battery powered stihl trimmers at once two years back and were so amazed we switched everything except the mowers in the folloing year step by step. Good video btw! Keep up.

How often should you change the filters ?

Stihl recommends replacing air filters at almost the same interval - after 100 to 150 hours of use or 30 - 35 days. I think they recommend the fuel filter yearly. One was at the beginning of the season. To be honest I just do both once a year. Usually spring time.

Sounds like all it needs is a little carburetor adjustment.

Do your self a favor and buy 2 echo srm 225s for the price of one of these overpriced pos yours is still not running good in the video at the end
