Put you a speedfeed head on that 131 and you'll like that trimmer even more. I have the km131 kombi and the 131 is very powerful, I use the pole saw attachment, bed redefiner and about 8 other attachments and this 131 never runs out of power no matter how hard I push it.

from my experience.. husky and stihl works best with guards. and longer lines means more gas too.

Damn i cant deside between 131r and 235r. I am only worried about 2stroke and 4 stroke. Does 4stroke have enough power?

If you use fs 131 r for hour it will damege the unit ( it made of plastic where clutch its at it will melt because its plastic then you have to spend money to that unit its around 80 dollar

Peewees Lawn Care I’m still getting an FS131r in time. But, need to replace a ryobi POS for now and I’ll get the 94r to keep my HOA from killing me. Since they seem to retain at least 70% of their value over many years and I’m getting it that much off, I’ll sell the FS94r for what I paid on CL.

The 94 is very reliable and light weight. Not a monster in the power department but it’s not designed to be. Plenty of inexpensive parts available too if you need to replace a rusted out muffler 5-6 years from now.

Great content. I was trying to get that one but my dealer slipped me the 91. I wasn't paying attention, but I'm going to roll with it for now. But I probably just switch dealers to a real Stihl shop because they was acting like my $ wasn't any good. In two days I spent a lot of $ only to find out later it wasn't the big weed eater. I want let them get me down though.

I have a 131r. Well have 2 new ones.. One of them is in the shop, I only had it for 6 weeks. It would get HOT, I mean really hot, and then lose power. This 131R you have, does it do the same thing?

MOTOCOMBAT the 4 stroke on lower rpms is really strong compared to 2 cycle weed eaters just imagine a 4 stroker on lower rpms is like using a 2 cycle on high rpms

@@PeeweesLawnCare, it does fit. If you get the universal speed feed 450 head use the green nut. If not you can use the Stihl nut from a 25-2 (standard head) and it will work. Use speed feed 450’s on almost everything.

Too big for that kind of weed eating. It is for rough cut weed eating. You cant feather control very well. All or nothing.

AG86 I’ve got a 94r and my dad just bought a KM91R. Everyone says u can’t feather the 4 mixes but I used it quite a bit yesterday and it does fine. I’ll never buy another 2 stroke trimmer. Other than weight I can’t think of any reason to buy a 2 stroke.

@@nalley6815 Nalley Hay Farms I think the 94R has a trigger that allows better throttle control. An ecospeed wheel or something? I read you can install it in the 131 but have not tried it. It sounds like a good feature.
