Hi, nice 1. Just to let you know, I just sold an older FS45 for £140, picking up a new FS40 today £178 from local dealer fully prepped. Cheapest I found was £148 free delivery 5-10 days. But any issues I pay postal return. Going price seems to be about £200 + mark. Graeme, Carnoustie, Angus. Scotland (wifes Utube account)

Great video Mick, sounds and looks great. Thanks for the advice with your LED bulbs a couple of weeks ago. Certainly much better. The only problem I had was that one light didn't have a starter. Removed the ballast and flicked into life. Thanks Jeff

23 PULLS! I would have hit it with go go juice to to save my should and reduce the risk of breaking the recoil. Lucky SOB. Ironically, I got the same exact Machine last year from my land clam. I actually cleaned the carb and it worked lol. Only one that season🤣🤣🤣

How's she goin'? That's amazing eh!!! A little adjustment of the fuel filter and using the choke correct and it starts!! Won't take long to turn this one into cash!!! Take care!!!

Good little strimmers them fs40,s mate I've used 1 for ages never missed a beat that and husqvarna 122c has also been sweet. They do seem to lose a bit grunt when there 2 hot though.

Agreed mate. I use one for my gardening business because they're brill when you need to be careful around less mature trees etc. Mine runs like a bird..... Unless it's a really hot day and I've been running it a while. It doesn't idle well and stumbles a bit. I thought it was just me! Cheers.

Hi Mick I cross threaded a Stihl FS40 Strimmer they retail around £195-00 - £220.00. I have crossed threaded when I changed the spark plug, is there any easy way of fixing this. Many thanks Rob

Hi, I have the same strimer. Been good as gold past 3 years. Just used on a small garden several times a month. This season it's taking lots and lots and lots of pulls to get going. Once going it's fine. The pre mix stihl fuel was left in since last used end of summer. I've ordered a spark plug. Could it be the carb? Once running it's fine. Thank you

Hi mate.. straight shafts are more common in the commercial field.. where the curved ones are for home use.. the shafts are made of a big spring inside.. the straight ones are more robust and made of solid shafts.

@@themowerman Just sorted my Stihl HS trimmers out that my dad gave me years ago, they were always temperamental,,,new fuel lines and sleeved the wires from the stop switch where they'd rubbed through on the body,,,they've never run so good,,,and all sorted for a little time and a few quid

In screw the top part of the head and it will split in half.. then fill with string and do up..
