Every one of those where the primer bulb stays down after pushing it I just replace. I've tried fixing them but they are cheap enough to be lesser cost than disassembly, ultrasonic, new kit and reassembly! Great Vid Scott, talk soon!

I agree on 50/50 on the Chinesium carbs but some landscapers don't care and want it NOW!!!! It'll run for a few months then be back in the shop in time for the OEM carb to show up!!!

As Kenny said in your comments section, I want to get one of those testers. I’m sick of struggling to see a slight blue spark on my tester!! What is the make?

Watching video Husqvarna 440 chainsaw tuneup or no? …..there were 2 ansi screws and two proprietary black screws. Rather all be same. But when the 3 in recoil were wallered out in buddy’s stihl trimmer, time for an alternative. Take care

I'm over due for a tool box tour video. I have way more tools than needed for chainsaw repair but not too many when you consider I work at a shop that rents all kinds of equipment.

Huh, not sure. I know there are at least two sizes that I have laying around. I'll have to try to remember to investigate that.

@@TheGreasyShopRag Thank you. Used my last one on an Echo Top Handle saw. The fuel filter had the two tabs. The screen was left out. The carb screen was full of crud. Works great now.

In the past I've had good luck with cheap Chinese carbs. It's hard for someone using old home owner grade machine to resist the low cost

More than once I've had the problem where the impulse hole is in the wrong place and doesn't line up with the intake manifold. The problem I have is usually fitment, not how well they can perform.

My opinion….Scott your costing my money. Lol. I need those tools now. I use best parts I can afford. I help elderly with yards. I have several items. One down, I just grab another. The customer was on board with waiting. Just depends on the customer. Take care.

Don't get hung up on fancy tools. There are very few specialty tools you actually need. My Grandpa tested for spark by holding the plug wire end. Crude but it worked and he was respected as a good mechanic. My point is, if you have the knowledge then you'll get the job done with whats available.

@@TheGreasyShopRag I struggle to see the spark jumping the gap on a normal tester and it’s starting to get frustrating. Have you got any bad experiences using that SparkCheck’r Scott?

@@VintageEngineRepairs Theres spark and then theres good spark. The spark checker just tells you the coil is working. A spark tester that makes it jump a large gap tells you the ignition has the reserve capacity to handle all situations. I have seen the spark checkr correctly show good spark when the plug wasn't showing spark because of a cracked insulator but also give a green light for weak spark. Its handy but not perfect.

@@TheGreasyShopRag you are correct. Down so many roads to pay bills, I have a wide variety of tools. I still can test/clean/file electrode a plug. I have my hose attached to a suction cup to check for cars gas cap vents. I still grab occasionally to pressurize fuel tanks. Just saying thank you for the info it really helps.
