Im considering changing to a battery powered unit, as you've said before, move with the times, no exhaust to breath in and much quieter.

It's really nice using the battery hedge trimmer/cutter and not breathing in all the c... p, and not deafening the customer all day, plus no start up, just press a button, honestly try and get a demo machine, a good day to day trimmer is the hla65 or 66 now, lighter too, I love my 2 stroke tools, but they are dirty thing. Take care mate 👍

Excellent & practical review (and no pointless music...which is very refreshing!) I'm tempted to get this machine for my gardening work. It's just the cable which bothers me. Did it ever feel like it got in the way when it was connected up to the AP battery belt holster?
@JoerivanLith3 жыл бұрын
Looks like a solid machine, will probably buy when my hs82's break down. My only concern would be the cable when you have to move your ladder, do you have to unplug it? I think the ap accu will be good for trimming and easier for your back. I did look for the kma130 or kma135 as i already have the attachments but not sure if the runtimes are long enough for my use, especially on the blower and weedeater.
@jasongardener34253 жыл бұрын
I really can't comment on moving ladders as stihl doesn't recommend using ladders and I have to follow manufacturers guidelines in video. The kma135 looks pretty good and personally think a great entry machine, if looking to go to battery, if you have attachments. Take care mate 👍

Dont know about you but I like to define shrubs/hedges where they are growing adjacent to one another. Makes for a crisp and tidy look but does mean that I end up squeezing in some tight spaces and changing the trimmer from hand to hand. Can you do that easily with the umbilical or do you have to somehow pass the machine behind your back if you need to change hands? I know that the km135r is released here in June which will take the AP batteries in the power head, unlike the current model, so I'm hoping that Stihl will make the same change to the hsa 94 machines. That umbilical is the only thing which really puts me off. Nice review mate, although they really should have sent you a 94t so we could see how it does in the hands of someone over here with real conifer skills.....cheers 👍

Someone suggested I run a promotion on Facebook, to try and get more hedge cutting customer's this year. Not sure what kind of offer / promotion would be suitable though. Have you ever done that sort of thing in the past Jason?
@jasongardener34253 жыл бұрын
I don't do fb business, so can't really say if a promotion would work. Google my business, post regularly, up to date regularly too, push hedge cutting service on it. Think at least 1 and 2 seasons ahead, so in spring, plan and push summer/autumn work 👍

It does the job, but I wouldn't fancy what looks like a cumbersome backpack or going back to using a hedge-cutter with a cable
@jasongardener34253 жыл бұрын
The backpack is great, but with this hedge cutter, the smaller battery on belt was far better, honestly I really didn't notice or feel the cable. But fully understand where your coming from, I was the same, but the pros outweigh the cons, once you try one. Take care mate 👍👍
@tonycritcher34193 жыл бұрын
@@jasongardener3425 Thanks for that, electric does seem to be the way forward and if a cable means a lighter machine. That's food for thought! Perhaps I was 'hedging' my bets!
@LawnRight3 жыл бұрын
I understand that as a planet we need to switch to better ways of living, battery over petrol in this instance but In nor 100% convinced yet on battery tools. I dont feel they beat petrol for stamina or ease of use as batteries need swapping, batteries may be heavier or you might need one on your back. I'm still open minded though and may just buy one when my next purchase is due. I currently run the stihl combi unit and long read hedge cutter attachment and their chainsaw attachment. Oh I also have one of their chainsaws too lol
@wayneessar74893 жыл бұрын
Once you get into your set up with the addition of an extension pole between your combi and the tool shaft you may really appreciate a battery machine for the reduction in weight, especially on hedge tops.
Honestly mate, I was same, before trying battery, battery definitely has the power and range, you need to configure the battery's to your needs, as different batteries, weight and range, definitely try and get a demo machine, thing you will be surprised. Take care mate 👍👍
