Introducing the new STIHL HTA 50 pole pruner, a cordless pole pruner designed for trimming branches and pruning trees and shrubs in your garden.
The STIHL HTA 50 is the first pole pruner that is part of our AK System of cordless garden tools. It has a battery slot in the tool, which can be used with any of our STIHL AK batteries which are also and is interchangeable with other cordless machines in the AK System. Using the recommended STIHL AK 20 battery, you will get up to 45 minutes of working time on a full charge.

This battery-powered pole pruner has an overall length of 280 cm and comes fitted with simple, comfortable controls and a soft grip on the shaft making it easy to work with. And if you need to reach higher branches, this can be increased to 330 cm with the 50cm shaft extension which is sold separately.
The STIHL HTA 50 cordless pole pruner comes as standard with a ¼” PM3 saw chain and a STIHL Rollomatic E Mini guide bar which provides powerful and accurate cutting performance, and allows the HTA 50 pole pruner to cut easily through branches of between 5 to 12 cm, although you can cut up to 25 cm. It also features a branch hook which makes pulling down cut branches much easier when pruning.
The HTA 50 battery-powered pole pruner also features an inspection window on the oil tank of the cutting head, so you can keep track of your oil levels whilst cutting. Just like a cordless chainsaw, you need to use chain oil, like STIHL’s ForestPlus, to lubricate the chain.
The STIHL HTA 50 shaft can be separated for easy storage in your garden shed as well and comes packaged with a wall mount for convenient storage. It also has a low weight of 5.1 kg, including the AK battery and has great balance. It can be used both right and left-handed too.
Because the HTA 50 is a cordless tool, no ear defenders are needed during use. However, we recommend that you wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as a hard hat, protective gloves, safety goggles and sturdy shoes.

@@STIHLGB Still no luck! I'm very disappointed with Stihl for supplying their products. Might have to move over to Husqvana if things don't improve soon. I have been very patient waiting over half a year for my saw that I ordered is certainly not what I would expect from a professional chainsaw company!! All my local Stihl dealers feel as frustrated with Stihl as I am!! Sort it out Stihl!! If you spend more time sorting out the supply issues than making these videos we might actually get somewhere!!

@@STIHLGB I can 💯 confirm that my local dealer has not received any of the MSA300 chainsaws yet nor the 500s batteries. It's Toad Hall Garden centre, Henley-on-Thames. They say Stihl keep letting them down and pushing back the delivery date every month which is just not good enough. Why make promises but not keep to it. It doesn't look good on the company plus surely not good for business, if you don't have the supply you can't make any money!
