Hi Brian, thank you for your comment. AutoCut C 3-2 is compatible with the FSA 30, but it will dramatically reduce the operating time compared to using the standard PolyCut head with blades (included with the tool). Thanks, how do you keep it from tangling and breaking of inside. so far I am NOT impressed with this trimmer head at all. More work than necessary.
@STIHLGB
@STIHLGB 25 күн бұрын
Thank you for your comment, and we are sorry to hear you are having trouble. Our line is hydroscopic so dehydrates over time, which makes it more brittle and liable to breakage. To avoid this problem we recommend soaking the line in water 24 hours or more before loading it into the head, as it will make the cord more flexible. Tangling inside the head can be caused by twisting the line when reloading it. It helps to let the line hang free and rotate the spool around the line instead of holding the spool stationary and winding the line around the spool. We hope that helps. However, if the tangling is a persistent issue even when it is rewound, please take it to your local STIHL Approved Dealer, and they can look into it further. Many thanks, STIHL GB

My flywheel and spinner head was moving too slowly. I realized I probably had wound- up grass up under the fly wheel. Removed the trimmer spool to get to the spool head retaining screw and saw a silver, metal retaining clip which I could not get off the spindle. Told myself that before I take it to the dealer I'd check YT first. From this video I learned that the entire spool head is one assembly and can be removed simply by unscrewing it. Tried it on my FSA 57 and it worked. Head assembly came right off, the flywheel came off the spindle and sure enough, I found grass and other debris wrapped around it. Re-assembly was easy and now the trimmer works great. Thanks so much for this video! BTW - I love the FSA 57! Have had 2 now for over 3 years!
