STIHL MS 251 WOOD BOSS vs 25" log

Today we put the STIHL MS 251 WOOD BOSS with 18" bar against a 25" diameter log. I ended up splitting this douglas fir log into three 20" rounds. I wanted to show that a small bar can tackle large logs even though it may take more time but it's totally doable.

I cleared 15 huge eastern white pines bordering my property using that saw this past year. Fell and limbed them. Worked like a champ. No regrets. Glad I bought a year and a half ago, the price has shot up.

You can alot more with some of these smaller saws. I have a 251 and a husqvarna 120 with a 14 in bar. I have cut some pretty big red oak and white oak to split for firewood.
