261c definitely one of the most versatile saws on the market

It really is, small, light, and powerful for its size. It is my favorite saw to run, it’s so light it’s hard to grab another saw. I only run a 16” bar so it makes it great for limbing downed trees also.

It is m-tronic so it is self tuning.

@@foggyvalleyacres Thank you :) I never gave that any thought. I am about to do the air filter and muffler on my 391. Great saw with a 25 inch bar but needs just a little bump in power :) Thank you for the great videos :)

How does the 391 handle the 25” bar?

@@foggyvalleyacres Handles it very well. I have full barred popular, white oak and locust. I just dropped a 37 inch leaning locust and had to bore cut it. I'm going to try a 30 inch bar in the spring.

​@@foggyvalleyacresit only self tunes so much. Stihl recommends doing a reset for something as small as changing a fuel filter so if you didn't go through the reset process there is a chance that you're not taking full advantage of the muffler mod

I saw the video for the WCS muffler port but did you also do an aftermarket air filter?

Not yet, I plan on getting one soon to let it breathe a little better.

Did you run the mtronic reset before testing the saw after the muffler mod?

I let it self tune, I did not do the reset.

Did it wake up even more over time? I’m just asking in regards to you saying that you had noticed a slight difference but not as much as some people made it out to be. I was jw if doing the reset would’ve made it a more noticeable difference

It is a nice deflector, I did have to trim a small bit to get a good fit even though it was made for the saw. Probably more to do with my placement but overall a great product.

Did you seal up the gaps?

I didn’t see a need to, the cutout isn’t bigger than the deflector. The very minimal amount that escapes by hasn’t caused a problem l.

No, it seems like it calibrated it’s self pretty quickly.

@@foggyvalleyacres o give it a try on the reset it will run even better. They do kind of auto tune but not to full potential till you do thr hard reset. Since you did the mod to muffler
