@@gregmenniges5963 No you don't need to take it in. The 661C has the M-Tronic carburetor and will adjust itself after running for a little bit.

I wondered at first if was going to be a little too close for comfort but I got the chance to use it quite a bit during the summer and fall and it was sufficiently directed away from the handlebar.

Why did you hold pull cord while shutting down the saw?

On some saws(especially the older ones) the pull cord and handle can get sucked back in when shutting down. Pulling the cord out a little bit and taking up a little slack can prevent the cord or starter from getting damaged. This 661 wasn't too bad as far that goes though. After running some of the older mcculloch saws this is something I always do now. It's gotten to be routine whether I need to do it or not.

Would you also be able to do that to a holzfforma g660? Would a bark box do the same thing?

@@northwestperformancesaws6212 thanks for getting back to me so soon, and also for the great news. I just bought a g660 from Mr.Lucas of justsenditsaws. Just patiently waiting to get it. Me and my son have orders to cut approximately 50 cords of firewood for people around town.

@@nicholasblohowiak29 I run 40:1 mix in many saws and that does well. If I can't get ahold of real good mix like amsoil I get something like the silver bottle stihl full synthetic stuff. It's not always possible but getting non ethanol fuel is also a huge plus.
