Great video using the Stihl pole saw. I have the exact same model. I purchased last year. It is a great pole saw, but it wasn't cheap either. Glad I have it. Thanks again Dave.

@@DavesSmallEngines Absolutely! I had a somewhat large, dead ash tree snap off from the trunk, but about 15 ft up from the ground. Thankfully no major damage to my extremely near-by garage. However, the main tree was still perched on the remaining, standing stump, albeit 15 ft up. There was no way I was going to attempt to bring the tree fully down to the ground without a professional pole saw. The Stihl HT131 did an amazing job, and I did it safely. It also came in handy with cutting up some of the larger limbs, again from a much safer distance. Money well spent!

Hello Dave have a question I hope and you can help me if you storage your equipment with fuel for a long period, what would be the problems that it could present? What would it be damaged? gaskets, diaphragms, gas lines etc...
@TheKrayusKorianis
@TheKrayusKorianis 3 жыл бұрын
The metering diaphragm could become hard, the fuel lines could become hard outside the tank and inside, they can become gooey.
@DavesSmallEngines
@DavesSmallEngines 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Fidel! It depends on what kind of fuel is in the machine. If you use alkylate fuel, the damage will be minimal (if any). If you use gasoline / petrol with ethanol mixed in, you will have big problems. The ethanol will cause havoc inside the carb. It will turn the metering and pump diaphragms hard and brittle rendering them useless. Ethanol will cause a “gum” or “goop” to form inside the carb. The fuel filter will also likely be effected. I have a couple videos showing the internal issues with ethanol fuel left in a machine stored for a long time. Hope that helps!

This, is a Stihl HT131 pole saw. Extends to 11.7’ plus however long your arms are (in my case, likely less than yours). If you had a tree to limb, say like I did in this video, you may enjoy this as opposed to climbing a tree on a ladder. If you are 6’8 and have 7’ arms, you may not need one... but think of how high you could reach if you did have one?!?!

@@DavesSmallEngines thanks Dave, not enough time in the day, I work for a small Landscaping service, pavers, retaining walls, excetera. I do all the maintenance on all the equipment something I can find online, some things I can't. Just not enough time in the day. Already working 6 days a week, averaging 65 hours. By the way, I love that point that you're on. Looks like some good Northern fishing. Possibly a muskie or two haven't been to Canada, in about 20 years. Canada's nothing what you think it's like it's better. I like to make it back up there someday, even if it's just for walleyes. Y'all have a great weekend! If you're not a dad, happy Father's Day anyways. Appreciate your help Bud.
