Still Austin Cask Strength Bourbon Whiskey | Better than the standard release??

I thought it was something unique and different that added something a little different to my collection. Rare breed is great but I’ve had a ton of that. It didn’t taste like traditional Texas whiskey which I appreciated and we know two years in the Texas heat hits different. I also bought a single barrel store pick which I’ll open once I drink this one down a little. It surprised me too.

I just grabbed a bottle of the cask strength off of Seelbachs for $65. Im excited to try it. I’ve never gotten into Texas whiskey so I’m excited to try it

Yeah Texas Whiskey is very different in profile. The whiskey gains so much barrel Influence from that heat over there. Let me know your thoughts when you crack it. Cheers 🥃

I like it well enough, but yes, it was quite young. I also thought it was too light on the palate for my liking, with a lower viscosity.

Yeah the standard versions ate pretty good! If yiu ever see a store pick or Nancy's picks grab one!!

Thanks for the reviews Dan. The regular version is still on sale for $70 CAD, but that’s a tough price point for young whisky. Rare Bread is about $62 by comparison.
