I know exactly what u mean, except I am transported back in time to a magical time of my youth. I am sent back to an outside patio bar with cool lights on a warm summer night in Kansas City in the early 90’s ; beautiful women all around me; a warm alcohol buzz, and all the hopeful dreaminess of my youth. I honestly have a hard time with the melancholy that this album brings me. Those days are long gone and will never come back.

Yes, you had people who are absolutely pure genius at remastering albums! This is one of my favorite albums of all time! Listening to it is always so soothing to me. I'm sitting in a Starbucks planning and writing down plans for a future move, this album playing in my headphones. The minute The Trip started playing, I was overcome with emotion and the memories of my solo cross-country road trips when I was in my 20s. To recreate those experiences would be incredible, but for now, this album will give me that same emotional high it did while I was driving down the highway years ago ❤
