I'm from the Fisk, Dexter, Poplar Bluff area myself and I can remember the worst flood made it to the bottom of second floor farm house. I can remember looking out and seeing only water and tree tops and paw paw paddling the flat bottom out to get us. I think every snake, mouse, and critter for miles was in or on our house. Up all night with critters running across us. Dad took each one of us to the staircase and said hold your breath. Down the stairs and out the front door under water and pop up out front to paw paw in the boat.

Hello to my Missouri friends our farm was just west of Sedalia Missouri 18 mile and just south of Lamont 10 mile Lemont Missouri is where I went to school it was 360 acres on our farm and just my dad myself and sometimes my mom could help so it was a handful for us I left the farm after school In 1968 so it was a long time ago

Another great video. I understood every word LB was saying and it was good to hear someone talk like he was from the good old days. All that money he put into that truck and he still didn't have it running like he wanted it but he knew what everything that had been done to it and that was all that mattered. I'm glad he is talking more on the video, he makes good sense if you think about what he just said. "Laugh or cry cause it don't matter but laughing is easier." Love it.

Thank you for sharing. It was good for us to spend some time with LB and get to know him just a little bit. I wonder, does he ever get in a story telling mood and talk about what it was like when he was growing up? We all have our stories to tell, but many don't feel comfortable sharing them. Usually here in our family when we all gather for a relatives passing the stories come out that were never shared with us before. We go from laughter to tears which is the point of it all I guess. Stay strong in your resolve.
