The word shoogle is a Scottish dialect that means tae shake, sway, or rock back and forth. It can also be used as to describe a rocking motion or shake. The word shoogle comes from the dialectal words shog and shug, and is likely related to the German word schaukeln, which means to shake..... = Shoogles the meaning of how the trams would do when there driving....

Dare I say Still Game is a superior (certainly faster paced) re-imagining of Last of the Summer Wine set in Glasgow? There aren't really any direct character crossovers as such, but there are elements of Foggy, Compo and Clegg, possibly others. But ultimately, both have extended scenes of just old blokes talking.🤣

What's also funny (beyond the immediate side spitting laughter) about the elevator scene is you could see they didn't move a muscle let alone speak. Meaning they may as well not have even been there! Which means, it's evident that even if she'd have missed the elevator and just caught a glimpse of them, she'd have STILL worked it out!🤣

Monroe/ Munro is indeed a Scottish name. It's a Scottish word for a type of hill. What freaked me out, however, is that in your current icon for the channel, Lucy is a dead ringer for one of my cousins.

UK has "August Bank Holiday" (last Monday in August). Traditionally, (at least when I was a kid several decades ago), everyone piles into the family car on the Friday before, drives to the coast (or, if they live on the coast already, to another coast), spend three days at said coast either camping or in some form of B&B doing more or less what they would have been doing at home anyway - but maybe with some swimming if the weather is clement (which it usually is not) and a donkey ride, and eat overpriced and lousy seaside food - and then pile back into the car and drive home again. However, more often than not, because everyone has decided to do this at the same time ("tradition" remember), the roads are all jammed so most of the holiday is spent parked on the motorway. If you opt for the standard, package, short European vacation, however, it's usually much worse.

This is one of the best episodes, in the combining of sentimentality, with rip roaring hilarity that Still Game does so well. Jack and Victor eating their anniversary meal is so heartwarming, and amusing, hehe 😊 Love how both of you almost totally lost it, and spat out your drinks at "a couple a' bum chums!" and Boaby producing the sparkly girly cocktails! 😂❤
