I love this episodes, it so similar to the New Year in my parents house in Glasgow from the 70's, it's almost like a documentary. And i take a certain pride that the entire world sings a Robert Burns song at New Year, the entire world sings "Aud Lang syne", even in Scottish, without even knowing what it is they are singing! We'll take a cup of kindness yet, for the sake of Good times gone.

I just realised they contradicted something quite important. Multiple times it's been described that Jack and Victor are a pair of Craiglang boys, lived there all their lives. Born and raised and married Craiglang lassies. Now Winston says, "You're new tae Craiglang, aren't ye? You don't know anybody, so I've brought alang some people."

Realised this too while watching on early hours of the 31st December 2003! But the boys have made mistakes over the years with the plot holes like Craigbank - I'm from Clydebank - and then changing to Craiglang.

They made him lose his leg here but in the early season in one of the episodes he got told he smoked to many cigs and that's why he got his leg cut off. I think they forgot that they wrote that in to the show
@TheElectroFox4 жыл бұрын
In the episode AFF, It was played out as though he had gangrene up his leg ( this was shown through the reactions everyone gave when he showed them his leg. Also in the doctor in that same episode said to Winston that there had been no circulation in it for quite some time and that's why they were going to have to amputate it ) - gangrene can be caused by long-term smoking which constricts blood vessels and reducing blood flow. The thing with the lift is weirder in the fact they were on the 14th floor and he sounded as though he fell a long way, so how he wasn't killed is the biggest mystery of all.

The actress who plays Isa, Jane McGarry lives in Burnside, tens minutes from me. I’ve chatted to her a few times. She can put oan the Isa when she wants tae! She had a young son. Sadly Ford Keirnan, Jack, lost his 14 year old son a few years ago. Poor boy choked on a sweat he’d been eating in bed. Tragic.

8:42: That was a blatant lie. Even with Pay as you Go phones, calls to emergency lines like 999 are free of charge and don't require any credit on your account to call.
@SpookyElectric3194 жыл бұрын
That’s the point. The neds were winding them up.
@jimmy2k4o3 жыл бұрын
Yeah but it’s surprising that out of Jack, Victor, Winston and Isa, none of them knew that. After all 999 is free from landlines which they would definitely know, so it’s logical to assume it’s free for mobiles. But if they said that and the Ned lied and said it doesn’t work that way, they probably wouldn’t know enough to know he was lying.

Still Game was really an experiment and not expect to last.Let me explain the characters Jack and Victor was developed from a series called Chewin The Fat...
