Hi Maria, thanks for the compliment. What is favorite art activity? Painting, collage or other? Bye, Albert
@mariamendoza48244 жыл бұрын
@@ImperfectPaintings the more recent ones I did was the collage art. I adopted the one where I used cuttings of papers and pasted it to be my guide. I also have been doing meditative painting where I can exercise fluidity. I would like to be versatile like you where you can paint different things. By watching your videos , you introduce me to artists I didn't know about and thanks for that.

Hi Maria, sounds interesting what you do. Just keep doing what you love and try new things every now and then. I learn by challenging myself for my videos 'so you can do it too' 😁 Bye, Albert

When are you using the mixing white and/or titanium white? Also, do you mix the gloss medium in with your paint on the palette, or dip into the medium after the paint? Please, explain. Thanks, and I would like to see some more still lifes like these with the imperfections in lines that Morandi used. Thanks, Albert.
@ImperfectPaintings4 жыл бұрын
Hi Jai, on my palette, next to my painting, you can see what I do (often). The difference between the whites is mixing white makes the color lighter, but still transparent, and titanium white is used to paint over things to correct them, it is opaque. Medium is used to make the paint more fluid and also more transparent, you can paint in thin layers and still see the previous layers. Check the product descriptionbon the site of a supplier, it gives you the technical details. Bye, Albert

Your videos with helpful observations and tips are always inspiring 🌟 Do you ever use oil paints as a medium Albert?
@ImperfectPaintings2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Amre, no I never use oil paints. They take to much time to dry and the smell of hem fills the house what my wife doesn't like 😉 My local painting course is also with acrylics, so the paint can dry before they go home. Is there a reason for your question? Albert

I wondered if it mattered which side of the painting the light source comes from? Most say to emphasis left to right, but I guess it could be either side.
@ImperfectPaintings4 жыл бұрын
Hi Culture Fan, it all depends of your position in the room relative to the window I guess. People often prefer the light coming from the right side. In the western world we read from left to right. We think of the future being on the right side of a line. No one wants a dark future. As an artist you can play with it, do you want to make it threatening or soothing? Getting people of balance is fun. Bye, Albert

The crook-neck container reminds me of a Stuart David, where he uses a bottle of Odol in a still life. BTW, that background is really good. What is it?
@ImperfectPaintings2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Carol. Strange bottles are half the fun. I'm not sure I understand your question about the background. Albert

I like it😃 but morandi's works has a subtle, weak color and sometimes uses greys as shadows😊 I think urs is a little pigmented? Great job still tho🥰
