I don't really know how to explain the emotion that I experience when I watch you. The closest I can come to it is the feeling of complete detachment from everything else around me. It is the same feeling that I get when I paint (not even close to your skill). The music is perfect and this may sound really corny but I think you must be a very elegant man to present your videos in the manner in which you do. Thanks for the 11 minuets of peace.

Do you view the setup through a grid as well?

hi Felix, no, this time I photographs to make the composition, and I got the initial measurements from Gimp using the grid, to transfer them to the board. Apart from the measurements, I paint from life, as it is hard to get the tone/color balance right from photos. I do sometimes use a grid later on, if I'm in doubt about the symmetry of an object. One can easily compare the left and right contours that way. Maybe it would be interesting to use a big grid in front of the subject some time, like Mancini did.

yes
