It's a beautiful work of art and I wanted to take a closer look at the strokes but the video is a bit pixelated. Can you please upload it on your blog or somewhere with better graphics and resolution?

What brand of oil paints do you use?

hi Salvatore, I use Old Holland oil paints...

Fabulous painting. Thanks for sharing. I was looking at your tutorials and noticed they are all quite old. How is the quality? Good enough to follow? Do you plan on making newer ones?
@staffanscherloff45964 ай бұрын
I have the same question and also wonder if you can them stream to TV.
@josvanr4 ай бұрын
hello Steve, yes true, I haven't made new ones in a long time. It is mostly raw material with comments added as subtitles. No sound. You could purchase one, eg the one with the pomegranate. That is typical for my way of working. If the quality disappoints, I'm happy to give a refund..

What medium do you like to use in your paint if any ?
@josvanr5 ай бұрын
Medium is very important in my technique. I use 2 part stand oil and 1 part venice turpentine . I use this to first oil out the panel and later also for painting. Occasionally I also use mineral spirits to thin the paint...

How many separate sessions ? How many layers ? How long? Please and thank you.
@josvanr5 ай бұрын
hi Allen, I'm not sure how many sessions, but there is only one layer of oil paint. I put the painting in the freezer over night, so that I can work wet into wet for 2 to 3 weeks.

So glad I found you LOL couldn't help but notice what is that object on your Mall stick parent, and what is it used for ? Thank you
@josvanr5 ай бұрын
I dont remember in this case, but I think it is a simple art clamp. I use this to be able to lean the stick against a board that sits behind the painting. So I can let the stick hover an inch from the painting, parallel to the surface.

The way you manage to capture the "atmosphère" is really inspiring. I already bought one of your long videos, if I wasn't poor I would have one of your paintings in my own studio 😊 Thanks master.
@josvanr5 ай бұрын
thnx, I read somewhere that the 'atmosphere' is the most difficult part to capture, so thnx again! :) I dont know exactly how to do this, but this time I experimented with kind of a halo around the tangerines. See especially the right side of the one on the right. That kind of works..
