Great painting as usual. Each painting is a great surprise. I have no doubt you will have an excellent exhibition. You are amazing. I love your work and your dedication. May be one day you will surprise us with a small still life in real time. I do appreciate what you do but seeing you painting in real time will be a real treat. Best wishes and much success. Blessings and take care.

So many layers on the large pitcher, with great results. I would love it if you had a tutorial on this piece, so I could know why you did what you did. Excellent work.

Thnx i'm glad you like it. Hmm why I did what I did.. haha I don't even know that myself. But the painting was done wet into wet so it is not really layers, just adding more paint wet into wet... Apart from that, I'm just only reacting to what I see in the painting and comparing it to the subject...

thnx ! I think this one took a bit more than a week, preparations not included (like making the composition, preparing the panel etc). Painting only.

People look at things, you help them to see what it is that they are looking at.

I am a beginner What kind of oil and what ratio do you draw the first layer? Is the paint thick at first?

hi Alexandro, I ususally paint only in 1 layer, only in to wet paint. To start I rub some of my medium on the surface (stand oil+venice turpentine), then wipe away as much as possible, so that the surface is just a bit moist. When painting, I put some of this medium on the brush and wipe it away, so that also the brush is just a little moist with medium. I do add a little bit of medium or mineral spirits when I think the paint is too thick, eg for painting a line. But I don't add a fixed amount of medium on the palette. Most of the medium is already on the surface ('oiling out'). The brand of paint I use is very thick (Old Holland) and covers the surface in 1 go..

Only short videos. Not very generous with your viewers. You just want to show what you Can do
@josvanr2 жыл бұрын
You can view the way the painting is built up. Maybe try to set the playback speed at 0.25. But painting along doesnt really work anyway. Better to make your own setup and paint from life. Eg put an apple somewhere, and a canvas right next to it. The videos are only to get a general idea of how the painting is built up.
