CPMA should be the king of e-sports. Fun to play, fun to watch.

Too bad it died :(. Also, it's unfortunate that the community has never united again, at least in some similar game (reflex, warsow, etc.). It seems like die hard cpm players, and many old school quake players in general, chose rather to die with the game than switch and support something else. Now we have only the worst version of quake so far - QC, and some small community left around dumbed down cpma - QL pql.

Okay, you're wrong. Go check out the CPMA discord, there are pickups every single day. Just saw a couple duel matches going, there are at least a hundred people on the discord, online, 24/7.
@dr0nerinofpv316 жыл бұрын
why you think qc is a bad game? i think its a good new feature which adds some more skills you need to learn to the game. it feels like players who played a game long time always fight against new stuff

Ya was gonna say the Discord CPMA group is pretty active.

I want a singleplayer/coop PvM game like Quake 1 with this kind of mouvements or VQ3 at least.
@Profanum6 жыл бұрын
totally agree with rpg experience with some neat movement, really enjoyed morrowind for some of the stuff you could pull off but it was a fine line between just flat out breaking the game and being fun/clever

hey, im a reflex player but when im travelling, I cant play it on my laptop. therefore i would like to give cpma a go. now, i dont know the console commands and i am too lazy looking everything up and would like to ask you, if you could share your config, since it is pretty similar to my quake live one... would appreciate it much!

Why not QW or AG ? They're kinda closer to the origins of the movement mechanics that you love so much ;)
@SakariMover2 жыл бұрын
QW and AG are Quake 1 mechanics, which I love. CPMA adds to them the smoothness of Quake 3 mechanics. Stepup, forward+strafe style air acceleration which gives you acceleration at the expense of steering, but you can still use QW style for max steering but less acceleration. And I feel like double jump combined with ramp jump are an extremely rewarding style of movement if the maps are designed correctly. Overall I feel like it's a more complete system of movement compared to QW/AG. Not saying it IS better, but for me it always felt better. QW/AG lack the feeling of inertia and weight of the character, you can really easily lose all your momentum if you make a tiny mistake. CPMA is more forgiving and thus feels smoother.

@@SakariMover Interesting, I had no idea CPMA has double jump... I thought Q2 was the only one to have it.
@SakariMover2 жыл бұрын
@@LindenAshbyMK yes, it basically just combines QW and Q2 mechanics.

It is more alive than quake live? I was always a cs player, but right now cs 1.6 is dying pretty fast in terms of competitive play, and I want something with a really high skill cap. Should I try QL or CPMA?
@KrodeonYT6 жыл бұрын
Man you've come a long way. You still using the same settings as some time ago? I saw you changed for PUBG and Doom. Did you change as well for CPMA or do you not use accel anymore?
@SakariMover6 жыл бұрын
:D I think it looks more impressive than it is. I've played this specific map against these same bots for a good 14 years. What's happening in the video is more of a dance than a real FPS combat situation, just for the record. In this video I use 30cm/360° for mouse sensitivity, no acceleration.
@KrodeonYT6 жыл бұрын
Have you decided on a sensitivity or are you like me changing it every other week or so? xD
@SakariMover6 жыл бұрын
I noticed that I change it between games now. I just pick one that is suitable, I'm quick to adapt so it's fine. Not playing for money. :)

Have you ever tried Titanfall 2? It can be REALLY fast-paced and fun. p.s. have you stopped working on your game? It seemed really fun!
@SakariMover6 жыл бұрын
Tried it for a bit, was cool. But just not enough to keep me interested. I will work on my flying game soon I think. Still trying to figure out what exactly I want to do with it, but I do want to continue working on it.
